Canadian VS American built mustangs

Got a Canadian 2020 mustang Gt 301a 10speed and love the car! There are two things that bother me about the Canadian spec.

1. ALL lights EXCEPT the fog lights act as a DRL (2020 models)

2. The RPM gauge cluster has the same face plate as the 2015-17 gt, meaning it LOOKS like the car can only redline to 6500

Does this bother any one else or is it just me?

My buddy has a 19 GT 400A (canadian) and it has the 6500 RPM tach and it really bugs him.

The digital cluster is an option on even the US spec mustangs. You have to get the upgraded 301A or 401A package to get it here in the US. Canada may not be able to get it at all, don't know?

Guess Ford was too lazy to update the KM gauge cluster to the newer RPM limit, lol. The DRL thing is something I hate about Canadian market vehicles as well.

Odd, on my 2014 S197, my fog lights are always on at the same time as the DRL LED in the headlights.

Honda American spec and Canadian spec are always odd too.

My Canadian 2006 Civic Si had heated side mirrors and a bigger windshield washer bottle. The US models didn’t have that but could get a navigation. Like what? Canadians don’t need navigation. Of course since I nod, I retrofitted the OEM navi into it. All the Civics were built in Canada.

Also, my wife’s 2016 Accord Touring sedan has a 4 cylinder engine. A model which was not sold in the US. US just had a V6 Touring. I guess Honda didn’t want Americans to save on gas. All Accords were built in Ohio. Also, for some reason, Honda didn’t sell front splash guards in Canada.

My car has the taillights AND the side makers as drls as well! My friends 2019 does not!

Why would you care what lights are on? You are inside the car, not outside looking at the lights. My car was originally sold in Canada. I haven't noticed anything unusual about it. Except the window sticker

If you mean the LCD dashboard, it's not available on non Premium cars. You can't/don't get it with the 301A package.

I've seen 2020 here in Murderpeg, they're like my 17.. only the fogs and the gill lights are on. Everything else is off. Is there a auto light function on the 2020 ?

Even if I manually turn off my auto lamps the second I go from park to drive, all lights come on no matter the time of day!

I remember this, there's a setting somewhere called daytime running lamps that runs the main headlamps at all times when you're in drive. It's an extra thing on top of the mandatory ones, and even US cars have it on by default. I turned mine off.

Unfortunately Canadian car don’t have that option
