Gen3 no thanks. But glad your so confident. ;).
I would think how much boost your running Plays a big role, but if your at 8lbs why run E85, u could just throw a shot of Boostane in with 93 for added safety or a gallon or two of unleaded race fuel.

Its your car, why not talk to a few tuners but again it’s your decision

Running E85 with the DW400 pump and a BAP absolutely no fuel issues or even close to running lean. I race every weekend, car is extremely consistent running 9.7 all day long with 80+ passes on it. Having a good turner is key. Yes, I will need a return system If I want to run low 9's. Seen a few blow up with a return system...

These engines love E85 with the 12:1 compression you don't need a lot of boost to make excellent power with E.

I get the idea of lower boost on E85.

How much boost are u running with your combo (9.70’s), Who tuned your car?

I’d still feel safer running a return system but your results speak for themselves

Long time Mustang turner Lidio Lacobelli. Boost level 10/10.5 psi. Has enough power to get the front wheels off the ground lol...

Lol. I just would not boost a Gen3 long term without E. I have followed your Roush diatribe. Reading abilities ok. Thank you though Big guy. ;).

Lolol, I get it, it does have 12:1 but I’m staying with the warranty tune, all I want is high 10’s with a warranty. Some peeps want more, I’ll be happy there, I’ve had 9 sec cars over the years, I’m done with that stuff now

It’s really about how much block horsepower you make. Boost is just a number that tells how efficient or inefficient your setup is.A turbo can do on 6psi what a PD does on 10.5. The PD is basically wasting 4.5 Psi through pumping losses, belts, and heat. That 4.5 Psi is still being produced in the block and the fuel is needed to make that horse power.

What does your injector duty cycle look like?
Running ID1300x injectors, I can’t remember exactly what percentage I’m using in the cycle.

I have the same goal of high 10s. 2015 phase 2, FBO catless, bap, manual, vmp tuned, indy 500 325s on rear.

Tuner won't tune for E85 unless I do return fuel system, but hopefully this fall when I hit the track I'll be in the 10s on my 93 tune.

Why is everyone against a return style fuel system?? A sai li system is only $1050 and has everything you need to make 950(if I’m recalling) on turbo. It’s also 99% plug and play.

Not having to listen to those pumps screaming in the backseat is a big one.

Not running the risk of a fuel leak in the advent of an accident that causes a fire and burns your car to the ground or possibly worse.

And if you’ve been paying attention to what’s going on with the new GT 500s you would know that a return less system can be capable of making all the power a street car needs.

I don’t think anybody is against a return fuel system. The question was “can you run E85 on low boost without a fuel system” and the answer is yes, it can be done safely in the 750 - 820 RWHP range and running 9’s with no problems. If you want to go low 9’s or better you will need a return system.
