I'm looking to get koni shocks with bmr performance springs as my suspension set up. I was thinking of adding camber plates while I have it all apart. Do you all think this is necessary for a street car or would passing on them be fine?

Well, without them, you basically get whatever you get for camber after the springs, there's not much to adjust. With them, you can adjust it wherever you want. Ford has their alignment spec recommendations, Ford Performance has some others, and so do some of the other performance houses, but it's kind of personal preference to a point. You might be perfectly happy with the camber without the plates, or maybe not. It's not any more labor-intensive to install then when you do the springs and struts at the same time.

If it were me, I would just do them so I would know it can be adjusted during the alignment.

If you would like to get back to factory alignment specs, then yes, you should get them. If you're looking for something cheaper, camber bolts are a good option if you don't track your car.

My car was aligned within specs without camber bolts or CC plates. I've got steeda progressives on stock struts and shocks.

I'm a believer in them since CC bolts I find to be pretty weak, torque spec is a lot lower.
