Sorry but no, takes ~5 seconds for temps to drop below 110 or so and the longer you drive the closer it gets to ambient.
Sorry but no, definety more than 5 seconds. Second of all, if it was 5 seconds, that's a long time in a 12 second drag race. I don't want my car pulling timing for the first 1/3 of the race.

You're right I wasn't there so I shouldn't say "sorry but no" just like you shouldnt have replied that to my post because you weren't there either.

What is fact is that 5 seconds is a long time in an 1/8 mile race. If it takes 5 seconds for your car to get to peak performance, that race is over by the time your iats have cooled off.

Is it hurting performance on take off? Sure. But under WOT conditions IATs come down rather quick.
