Cabin Soundproofing - Base vs Premium

I saw in a YouTube S550 EB review that Premium trim has better window glass (like double pane) and thus provides a quieter interior.

Can anyone confirm if this is true for both GT and EB.

Are there more differences between Base vs Premium than what is shown in the brochures.

Will there be extra padding inside the doors too to reduce cabin noise.

Premium is a quite a bit more expensive than I would have liked. But if there are other thing maybe it does make a difference.

The premium package does include active noise cancellation of Ambient sound so maybe that's what you heard. It works the way noise cancelling headphones work.

I think it's done through the Stereo and speakers. It can probably be turned off (like headphones) I just don't have the details

Considering the fact that noise cancelling headphones are themselves a pointless and expensive gimmick (that often comes at the expense of sound quality), I can't say that I'm pleased to hear that.

It was posted here in this forum, around 10 minute video with a Magnetic color if I remember properly.

Can't please everyone.
My car is my office so it should come in handy when trying to do a conference call over Bluetooth.

Noise cancellation is hardly a gimmick. It's been on cell phones, mobile ear piece, office headsets and audio headphones for quite a while and is good at what it does. Sure it can sacrifice in audio quality depending how it's setup but I don't know yet how it'll work in the mustang. Even the manual has no reference to it.

Active Noise Cancellation is EB only and a standard feature.

I'm not sure if all Mustangs will be equipped with it but the Guard Premium Eco-Boost Coupe I saw had the Ford Soundscreen Windshield that is supposed to reduce noise from outside the vehicle. Maybe that is something added to the Premium Models. I'm not sure though.

(EDIT) After watching the video Zen25 posted above, What He is talking about at Time Mark 19:19 min is the Soundscreen Windshield I originally posted about. Evidently (According to the information in this video) the Soundscreen Windshield is part of the EcoBoost Premium Package.
