I conceal and carry… ever since someone tried to carjack me, I always C&C now. That being said, I prefer outer-waist-band (OWB) than inner (IWB) and the side bolsters complicate that.

Have you guys that C&C found a decent solution? Lately, I’ve just been placing my 19x in the console or side pocket.

I would think maybe one of those under steering wheel holsters might be your solution?

I’d be interested in hearing that story if it’s something you can share.

I’m like you, won’t leave home without it. I prefer OWB with larger frames but go with IWB when I need it to be completely invisible. Since getting my car I take it out and place it in the cup holders or under the seat but I’ve been doing a lot of thinking to how I can more securely mount to the car. The problem is I don’t want anything permanent. I found this picture from another thread that has me intrigued and could provide a solution.

Alien holsters have a nice setup that can be mounted similar to that pic or on the driver knee bolster.

As much as I like those, I’d prefer not to drill holes in my trim. I’m going to do some playing around with ideas that don’t require holes.

I haven't done it yet, but I plan on getting a 2nd dash sunglass holder draw, (left side of steering wheel, near trunk electric popper button) from a junk yard wrecked car, and cut a angled slightly hole in the face of the draw, and bungy cord material to keep the personal protection in place with barrel in the draw, If and when I go to sell the car, I can put the original sunglass draw back in, and no harm no fowl.

Glad you made it out ok and thankful you had the tools necessary to protect yourself if it came to that. Fortunately I haven’t had anything that wild happen but it only took one time of getting a weird feeling while walking the dogs with my wife that I swore to never be lazy again and leave it at home. After reading that thread I’m feeling increased motivation to get a mounting solution figured out. I doubt those clowns follow BaT but seeing the prices your car goes for these days they probably thought they had a decent payday coming their way

I’m not exactly sure what that cat’s motive was that day, but had I no option but to sit and await his advances, I was ready.

Unfortunately, the state of the world we live in, in America, is against those who are productive, law-abiding constitutionalists. I pray it changes soon, but until then and even past then, I’ll be ready.

I use the alien setups in my dailys. They work really well. You may consider just purchasing an extra trim panel that you’ll need to drill for later on in case you want to remove it. When I’m in one of my 350’s I just toss a G2 in the console.

As much as I like those, I’d prefer not to drill holes in my trim. I’m going to do some playing around with ideas that don’t require holes.

Only a couple suggestions from me…
Always, I mean always secure well. If a crash can jar your makeshift holster, it’s no good.
You must be able to access quickly at all times. You don’t have the option to choose when you will need to react.
