Burning coolant?

So i filled my coolant up to the max line about 3-4 months ago and now the resevoir is back to about half way between max and min lines. Ive checked around the engine bay and the ground before each time i set out to drive, but no liquid at all has been found. Is this normal for a GT?

car should not be dropping any coolant. It could be leaking into the oil or cylinders. Either of those is bad.

coolant that leaks into a cylinder can be "burned" and go out the tailpipe, or it can cause hydrolock and bend a rod, damaging the engine.

Maybe a small leak somewhere.

I would get an oil analysis done and see if it is showing up in the oil.

Before you go make a science project out of this do some basic stuff. Mark your tank with an oil pen for where it is cold.

Then start your car, drive it till it gets hot and note the hot level with the oil pen. Park it and check it again when its cold against the original line. Do this a few times and I bet it'll be different every time.

Thermodynamics play into the expansion chamber and you may have more coolant staying in your radiator now that its getting colder out. This happened to me a while ago on my old mustang and I too freaked out. In reality; i wasn't loosing anything.

Yes the level changes.
When cold at the L line it's about mid way between H and L when fully warmed up.
