For those joining the thread halfway in, the Bullitt is just a big maybe. Pure speculation but with the 2018 model coming and it being the 50th anniversary of the movie car and Guard being dropped as a color it is a huge maybe. Fun to speculate with.

If it does show I think it would be a 1 yr run and would not prevent the GT500 or Mach 1 showing up that model year or the next.

Don't forget in 2014 Ford stated at least 12 performance cars were coming through 2020. So far we have the GT350, GT350R, Raptor, new Eco V6 300+ hp Fusion, Focus RS, Ford GT, that's 6 so lots of growth room for a Bullitt, Mach 1, GT500......

Should we change the title to Mach 1 gossip? Lol seems like a Mach 1 has more interest..though I would love to see a highland green s550

Rather see a Mach than the bullit. It's been over 10 years since they had an svt pony.
I agree with seeing a Mach 1 but it was never a SVT vehicle..it was basically a left over parts bin car. A combination of older cobra parts but with no SVT designation.

I'm hoping for a 2018 Mach1:

1. MagneRide Suspension (GM version currently offered in 2016+ Camaro SS)
2. Active Exhaust (currently offered in 2016+ Camaro SS)

I hope the GT gets more aggressive Performance Pack tuning (more aggressive dampeners, sway bars, springs).
This is why I think/hope these feature come in 17..:headbang:

Subscribing to this thread. Honestly I don't even care about performance upgrades, all I want from a Bullitt is:
Dark highland green paint
Blank grill
Faux gas cap on the back
5.0 fender badge delete
Torque thrust inspired wheels
Retro gauge font

If it has all those things I'll put down a deposit the same day it's announced. They could even just make it an appearance package like the 50th anniversary package and I'd be happy. Any special exhaust, engine or performance enhancements would just be the cherry on top. Come on Ford, 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the movie, please don't pass up the opportunity!

Having owned both previous iterations, this pretty much nails it for me. All I would add is unique exhaust, a factory CAI and cal, and the GT/PP enhancements (less the PP wheels of course).

I'd like to see exactly what you said but on a PP pkg with a good exhaust sound.

As far as the wheels go the 051A pkg with the 18" wheels looks like an update on the torque thrust wheels already. :ford::ford::ford:

Might have to break my promise that the present mustang is the last one.. Would add to the list available in automatic and machine turned dash. Just don't feel like shifting anymore

I would love another Mach 1 (I've owned 2), but a Bullitt would be cool (came close to buying each iteration of Bullitts when they came out). I would love an automatic this time around (loving the 6R80 in my '14 GT). Maybe an '18 Mach 1 automatic with the Cobra Jet crate engine (700-800 hp) to shred the 1/4 mile in the 9-10 second range.

How likely do you guys think a Bullitt actually is? I'm trying to think about past history to predict the future. The Bullitt came first for the SN95, then the Mach 1 after. Mach 1 also wasn't introduced on the Mustang until 1969. So sticking with past strategy and if they want to hit all the 50th anniversaries they can, they'd do a Bullitt for 2018 and then a Mach 1 for 2019 right before the rumored overhaul in 2020. Introducing it that late isn't out of the question either since the last Mach 1 was introduced right before the new 2005s came out.
