When I saw how much oil the passenger side catch can caught after only about a thousand miles I ordered a catch can for the driver's side. M-6766-A50S-Mustang Gt350 Oil Separator. Yep, I've heard they are optional as the passenger side of the engine seems to be the side that gets the most oil, but if the driver's side captures even 10% of that I think it will be worth it. The valve cover breather for the 5.2l in the gt350 is in a different location so the smaller of the molded breather tubes that comes in the kit won't fit. I used a small piece of 5/8" braided fuel hose that fit snug with 1" marine shrink wrap. The other side of the separator fits snug but will snap into place if you warm up the tube with a heat gun or hair dryer to soften it a bit.

Nice. But why did you purchase the one for the GT350? Doesn't FP make one for the 18-19 5.0 GT? Just curious.
They actually do make it specifically for the 18-19 mustang but in my case, I chose to use the existing one I had from the gt350 I use to own. The only difference was the mounting bracket for the catch can bracket wasn't made to work with the 18-19 mustangs so I ended up cable tying one side of the hose to the wiring assy over the valve cover just to keep it from moving as for the other side is a flex hose instead of buying another.

JLT has one but I don't recall seeing a FP one other than the one I installed. Since we have the gt350 intake it's a clean fit with only one hose needing tweaking.

Driver's side.

FRP sells passenger side only for 18+ 5.0. GT350 has both passenger and driver's side.

How much oil did you get out of the passenger side can, in how many miles?

This one:

https://www.americanmuscle.com/jlt-oil-separator-v3-black-1117.html

... looks like an easy install/remove without having to remove the strut bar engine cover. This is 'not legal' for use in California, which is ridiculous because it won't affect the emissions system except to keep it working better! So, if--theoretically--one was to put one in a CA car it would be easy to R&R before smog checks (but I would NEVER do that ;).

Would one of these give the dealership an excuse to void a warranty at an oil change?

What exactly needs to be tweaked?

Have you checked how much oil you've caught on the driver side? I just installed the JLT on the driver side last night. Like you, I got concerned when I saw how much the passenger side collected in 2,000 miles (2.5 Tbsp.).
