I spent a long time this morning checking it out the new convertible. I waited three hours for the body shop (they use one right across the street) to improve the gap between the hood and the left fender. It had a sizable gab. The hood was higher than the fender in the middle of the hood, a little bit lower towards the back of the hood closer to the windshield. The front of the hood was very close, almost touching the fender on that side. They actually moved the fender out from the hood and moved the hood back slightly (I could see this at the hood hinge bolts). The body shop guy I talked to before he worked on it said it looked like the hood was incorrect and I agreed that it was probably a mis-stamp of the hood. I said, better they try to bend it down into shape than me :) It turned out much better than it was, not perfect, but I think livable but I viewed it in the shade after the fix. I’ll see it in the sun better tomorrow, but I’m thinking it is ok. All the other panels were pretty darn good. Both doors were just a hair low, but I would have not noticed it, if I had not known to look for these things. The doors closed very well and softly, and the trunk as well. The hood closes with quite a clunk. It needs to be dropped at 11” or above, which sounds about right. Boy, that hood is heavy! I will definitely be getting some hydraulic hood struts. Everything was very good, some positive surprises and a couple of head scratchings “huh’s” (like the standard carpeted floor maps cover the flat part of the floor but don’t go up under the pedals). I thought screw that, I’ll just put the all-weather mat in there, but it’s the exact same size. Geez! That’s all for now, I’ll report more later in the other threads.

Cueball, Mark and Drew, I hope your cars are perfect and everybody’s happy :)

Tomorrow is super wash, clay bar, seal, wax... tired boy at end of day. ;o)
But it will be fun playing with my new Foam cannon and the rest of the $250 worth of soaps, MF 'rags' wax sealant Etc. Etc. It will be Christmas tomorrow morning opening all the Amazon boxes! :headbang:

UPDATE: This morning Cotus now shows Delivered 3/17, which is accurate from what the dealer told me.

Picked it up today. Dealer has promised to fix a few alignment issues with hood and rear GT panel, a small paint issue and a small dent right in front of the driver door (WTF?) No idea how to post pics here, so will wait. Can't seem to program garage door opener yet. Will keep trying.

Hey guys, picked my car up yesterday and was quite impressed with the panel and glass fitment, no issues that I've been able to find so far. I did notice some blue jean transfer already on the ceramic seats, so will need to get some leather wipes to address that. The clutch pedal seems much softer than my last car so I might try to remove the assist spring. I was also slightly disappointed in how the leather on the steering wheel feels, almost feels cheap and almost plasticy compared to my other vehicles.

Overall I am very happy with the car so far, just need to get the windows tinted and the exhaust put on.

Picked mine up today also and it is sitting in my driveway under its new cover as the snow falls! Argh!!!!!!! So far I have found no issues.....panels, paint, glass, etc. I've already installed the sto & show plate bracket, WeatherTech floor mats, and JLT oil separator. Now, to learn all the electronics!

Congrats Mark, Drew and Cueball (and me)!!!

Here are a few pics from just after washing yesterday. Today I clay bar, seal & wax.)
How does your emergency brake feel? Mine is very hard to pull up even one click. With some muscle, I can pull it up 3 clicks to hold on my driveway's slope. Not a big deal, just curious if it is as designed?

(Cueball, to post pics: 1) make sure you convert to .jpg or other accepted format before trying to upload. And .xxx format must be showing at end of desription. ( reduce size if you get 'too large' warning) 2) Must be in Advanced, not quick post. 3) scroll down and click Manage Attachments) 4) follow to upload pics to your post. 5) Then click bottom right button to load pics (and post) to the website. More info in FAQ.)

Sorry for size. I did reduce to 13%, but I still need to learn more about pic posting too! ;)

Looks awesome Dave! Those verts look SO nice! I might be tempted if I lived in a more moderate climate. I haven't even tried the emergency brake. I have an automatic.

Enjoy! I had to put my cover on last night to keep the snow off! Spring????????)

I took mine to Heavenly Donuts in Brentwood today just as an excuse to drive it. LOL. I set the fuel monitor and got 22.7 mpg on this short trip. Not bad!

Yes, Dave. Love the Foundry wheels with the DIB. My research paid off! :-)

I hope everyone from 2/23 week has already gotten their cars and are enjoying them. I hope you guys in the north east get some sunshine and warming temps real soon!
I took some pics of my DIB convertible today while the freshly barred, sealed and x2 waxed paint is still fresh! :D

If you'd like to see some pics, They are over on the one of the convertible threads here:

Here's just one.
