Just got of the phone with my dealer, he says the reason for delay is all weather related. He said no QC issue and the car is built and sitting on the lot "waiting for transit".

So the Zone Mgrs that made a visit to my dealer and talked to the person ordering vehicles....told her that Mustangs....generally GT Prem. ones built the week of 2/2 are on QC hold.....that was a lie? Don't think so.

Ford folks at higher levels don't "spill those beans" if it was not true.

And, why then, cars made just after are shipping, and ours...week of 2/2 are still sitting???

Doesn't pass the smell test.
Trust me I agree 100%, just relaying what my dealer is feeding me.

I've been in contact with everyone at my dealership and none of them know a thing about my order. They keep telling me it should be there any day now. I don't know where they get their information from but it doesn't seem to be accurate. Rachel was kind enough to check my order again today and it's still "In Production."

Just for clarity. I don't truly have "sales people." I do business with the Gen. Mgr. of the dealership. We are friends based on past purchases. No "sales person" could or would do the kind of service I am getting. I never deal with the regular "floor salesperson." Only Gen. Sales Mgr. or the GM. That's it.

Too many times doing this. I know the car "game." Sold at on time in my life. I don't have the patience to deal with the "back and forth" you have to to through IF you first sit down with a sales person. They have to go to their Sales Mgr. on duty at the time...then come back...you "argue"...OK..negotiate...lol....some more..he/she goes back to the SM.....NO THANK YOU. Been there done that.

Yes, I know, some sales people..some....are great...but, they are NOT the decision makers. I sit down with THE decision maker.....make my offer...I get shown the Invoice..but, I already know what it is....social media....True Car and others...the real info is out there now.

We finalize all the #'s including my trade....he/she signs the deal....and off we go. And it gets much easier if you are buying a vehicle from "most dealers" the second time and beyond.

From one dealer I bought 5 cars in 5 yrs. I could walk on water as far as they were concerned. Treated like royalty. GM would talk with me...etc...then would tell his Gen. Sales Mgr....take care of him!!! They knew what he meant. Best deal possible. It's easier and very business like....not like the BS of going through a "floor sales person."
Well then, I wish I had that kind of connection haha. I used X-Plan to my benefit, but until the car shows up, I won't know how much of a battle it might be ha.

Woah, if the vehicles aren't built right the first time, could it cause more wear and tear over time because they might miss things? Or if it has to be adjusted at the dealership...

This is getting Tiresome

Looks like all of us in this order group are getting tired of posting the same old thing day after day......I have gotten to the point that I have lost all of the "eager anticipation" that I had not long ago.
Hopefully, we will all get good news before this week ends. I have read some posts here claiming they will ship by the end of the week. Cotus is still saying I am 5 days away from delivery to my dealership. HA....That Ain't happenin!

Ordered: 15 eco, convert, premium pkg. Yellow, 50 yr. appearance pkg.
Ordered on 12/17/14
Vin: early Jan.
Build (Blend) day: 2/4/15
EDD: 2/24/15 (Yeah, Right)...Only in my dreams!

I just got a text from my sales saying it'll be here in a week's time. But my cotus still shows 5 days as well.. I messaged Rachel to see if she can verify/update.

I hear that. I was so anxious and excited to get my car, this whole process has made it the complete opposite. I just don't even care anymore.
I'm expecting the worst.

Ordered - 2015 GT 5.0
I am in same boat, my GT was built week of 2/2 and still 'awaiting shipment'.
2/2 was day after Super Bowl and if there was ever to be a QC issue in building, it would be that day :)
Hoping the delay in shipping is just this brutal winter.

My Lady finally arrived!!

My Lady finally arrived!!
Order placed with dealer - 1/5/15
Order confirmed in COTUS - 1/12/15
Completed "In Order Processing - 1/28/15
BLEND date - 2/3/15
Completed "In Production" - 2/4/15
Stuck "In Transit" - 2/4 - 2/20
Original EDD - 2/23/15
Revised EDD - 2/19/15
Actual confirmed delivery - 2/20 10:30 AM EST
So, in short - Using COTUS to track your order can cause grey hairs but can be fairly close to actual delivery date (at least for my order).
Better pics to follow once I take deliver.
