He has the 50th Anniversary Appearance Pkg and that does not come with a plain aluminum dash.

Your dash comes from the Performance Pack (turned aluminum circles) not the 50th Appearance package. He said premium but didn't say performance pack - that means no turned aluminum as far as I know.

You can see examples here

My dash is 50th Anniversary Appearance Pkg because it overrides the PP dash. He said he also has 50th Anniversary Appearance Pkg and that dash is not plain aluminum.

That's the first I've heard of that. I thought PP would override all the other dashes.

It was discussed at length months ago but yes 50th Anniversary Appearance Pkg dash overrides the PP dash and the PP wheels override the 50th Anniversary Appearance Pkg wheels.

Thanks ponygrrrl. I must have been thinking about the wheels. Also, back when everyone was still trying to figure out what the 68B premier trim was, didn't we think the dash was different? It's not is it? Isn't it just the same "brushed aluminum" look as the regular premium option?

I actually liked the 50year dash more than the PP dash, but couldn't see myself spending the money for the 50 year package just for the dash. Otherwise I really like look of the premium GT with performance pack, both I side and out.

Another thread about dashes

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18390&highlight=Carbon+fiber+dash&page=2

I will state one more time the performance pack dash is turned aluminum and has two extra center gauges. The 50th is not turned aluminum and doesn't have the gauges. There are pictures of it in the two earlier links I posted.

I'm just trying to help the guy determine whether what he has is correct and I believe (without him posting pics at least) it sounds like it is. Ponygrrl you have the pp dash if you have two center gauges and not 3 center air vents.

He wasn't asking about the gauges, he was asking about the aluminum. Here's pics of mine, the flash killed it a little, I will snap better ones during the day and post them.

It's not plain brushed aluminum like in the Premium.

That's it!! No turned. I'm betting that's what he has without the gauges. Thanks for the great pic Ponygrrl. :)

Car finally come's home

Hi guys my Ruby Red GT Prem PP build week 2/2 arrived at dealer today,
Upon inspection found damage to left rear wheel, several panel alignment issues
Mainly trunk/tail light and rear bumper cover to left rear quarter panel alignment
Way off. But the big one for me is lower grill is not the same as top grill- honeycomb/shark tooth. Lower grill is the one used on V6,50 year appearance package, and adaptive cruise control lower grill. I believe ford has decided to standardize the lower grill on all models for cost savings. There where 3 mustangs on the transport 1 was Ecoboost with wavy top grill and standard non wavy on lower.
I my option the the non matching grill on GT just kills the looks and my be a deal breaker for me if they will not change lower grill. Also panel problems must be fixed and not just saying their within build tolerance. So after all this waiting a BIG Disappointment!
I finally pulled the trigger tonight and bought the car:)
My salesman called this afternoon said all panel alignment issues that been fixed
And new rear wheel should be here this afternoon.
When I arrived this evening to inspect car I was very happy with all panel alignment issues I wanted fixed, spot on as it should have been when it left Flat Rock especially after it sat there for 3 weeks. Rear rim was a no show so that will get changed next week, for the best because I personally want to verify that rim is 9.5 inch and not 9 inch. New lower grill is only $90 and they will install for $100. Well worth it to me to matching upper/lower honeycomb/ shark tooth, instead of standard V6 lower grill that block heater cars get.gotta love Minnesota.although frustrating at times I was polite with salesman/dealer,just told what needed to be corrected for I would purchase car or I would walk way and they came through with flying colors. And 4000 grand off sticker price didn't hurt either.

those are the best pics I've seen of the 50 pattern btw. You might post them in that dash thread for reference to help others.

So my car has been delivered this morning! COTUS had actually updated on Sunday saying it was delivered on 3/15 but called the dealer and they said nope. So COTUS is definitely still screwy. Driving 3 hours to pick it up tomorrow morning. I will report back anything I see that isn't perfect. The wait is over!
