Haha, well, currently at work. Wife has a dr appointment this evening(ultrasound) so I wont have much play time with it, plus its supposed to rain this evening.

Tomorrow Im off of work. Im planning on re-installing my short list of mods(radar hardwire, clutch pedal extension, and catch can) and im going to clean/detail it. There are some light dealer installed swirls I need to polish out. If theres decent sunlight after im done, ill be going somewhere for some pics. I luckily have off of work tomorrow so Im planning on an early start to the day haha

Im reviving this thread...

So, a few days ago, I got an email payment reminder, stating that the payment for the 2017 is due on the 20th of this month.

Yes.. I have had the replacement vehicle for just about a month now, and they STILL have not paid that loan off.

So. Two days ago, I emailed the case handler, telling her that this is absolutely absurd, that I will NOT be making a payment on a vehicle that I don't have anymore, and to get it figured out and let me know the outcome.

I received no response.

I have been trying for two days to get through to someone there, and have had no luck until today. Yesterday, I spoke to someone, and they said I needed to talk to the title department, so they transferred me to them. After talking with them, they said that I needed to talk to the case handler, because she is the one who would know why RAV hasn't paid it off yet.

They transferred me back to RAV, and said that Karen(my case handler) was busy, but that they would hand deliver a message to her. Never got a call back.

So I called back today and asked to speak to a manager. They gave me to some girl (not the main manager of RAV) and I explained what is going on. She immediately started blasting the dealer, saying that it's up to them to get the paperwork done and figured out. She said that If I make the payment, they will reimburse me the payment.

I stopped her right there, told her that I WILL NOT make a payment for a vehicle that I do not possess, that I signed paperwork stating that it belongs to ford now. I said that they need to get this figured out immediately, or I will hire a lawyer.

She then got SUPER belligerent with me, raised her voice, basically said its out of their hands, and that she will call the dealer and see what their problem is.

My temper got the best of me, I told her she didn't have to be such a b**** about it, and hung the phone up on her.

Called back, asked to speak to Kyle Burton(the manager of the ford RAV department), which of course he did not answer. Left him a message with the last 8 of the Vin, explained whats going on, made sure to let him know that I was treated with some disrespect, and to look into it and call me back.

I promise, this is the last ford vehicle I will ever own. As soon as I am able to, my wife's car will be traded in for something else, and once I can trade the mustang in, I will.

I am DONE with Ford. Ill enjoy the mustang for the time I have it, but once I can trade it off, it'll be gone.

This will be the 6th ford vehicle I have personally owned in the last 12 years, and for them to treat a customer like this is the last straw for me.

That really sucks, but it might be the dealerships fault. I know when I traded in my 16GT for my 18, the dealer didn't pay off my old loan for a couple of weeks. In that time, I'd actually had to make a payment on the old loan because that timespan covered when a payment was due...so I had to come off the cash for a car I no longer legally owned either.

Then the dealership paid off the new lower balance. I had to make a few calls to the dealerships finance department to get that straightened out, and they ended up mailing me a check. It was a hassle, but it happens. In my case, it was the dealerships fault, not fords, though your situation may be different.

Sucks you've had such a lousy time with this. On the plus side, the 2SS 1LE Camaro sure looks fun.

Wow sorry to hear that. Especially what you went through to get the replacement.

You really helped me with my issue which convinced me to get a refund instead of replacement so I really appreciate your help.

Damn Lightning. I figured your ordeal was over and wasn't expecting this. Worst case scenario you'll have to make that payment so you don't take a hit on your credit but I understand that is asking a lot after all the patience you've shown so far.

I had plans of keeping this car for 7+ years but that doesn't seem like the most logical decision with the obvious quality issues and horrible customer service from Ford. It sucks because I really enjoy the car and the only thing I can think of as a replacement is a C7 Vette. However, I'm not convinced quality will be much better with GM as my GTO started turning into a money pit after 60k miles.

My only issue with the Camaro is pricing. Its quite a bit more money than I honestly think its worth. I would honestly shoot for a c6 vette to be honest.

Honestly, I regret not having them buy the blue car back and just washing my hands. Im glad you went with the re-purchase option. Hows it going on your end?

Not only that, but I have to plate the car, which will be about $500, on top of a payment for our 2016 escape, my 2018 mustang, and now they want me to pay for the 2017 mustang too.... Thats a LOT of money going out that I don't want to spend.

We have a baby due at the end of august, and the more I take away from my slush fund, the less I can do around the house/buying what we need for the kid.

Chances are, I will probably keep the car for a few years until It gets paid down, things settle down with the kid, etc etc. Then at that point, I'll look into my options from there. I love the 2018(already have about 1900 miles on the thing) but for me, its the principal at this point. The c7's are nice, but I have heard that their engines have been having issues as well.

Maybe once the time comes to do something different, Ill search out a WRX and just have a semi-fun/reliable daily. All these manufacturers are putting out high horsepower cars for entry level money, but it comes at a significant cost in quality and durability.

Ford is making me pay payments on my old car that they bought back from me. Watch, like, share please if you could! I’d like to get the word out how badly Ford is treating people in my situation as well.

I don't know how the in hell you got them to do a buy back. I had cylinder 8 failure at 2k miles and they replaced my short block in 2 weeks. I couldn't lemon law, I had zero leverage. I got an extended warranty and was sent on my way. I'm at 14k miles and tuned with power pack 2.

It was explained to me that the short block assembly replaces pretty much everything

Basically, in the dealer sitting idle for more than 30 days constitutes a buyback(according to Indiana lemon law. I chose to go through ford and honestly should have filed with the BBB.

Isn't there some higher up manager at Ford that can get involved and make this shit happen right? Nothing worse than a broken, complicated process.

Congrats, this thread makes me nervous, so much so that at 32,000 miles my 16 is getting all new fluids & a shaftmaster's aluminum driveshaft. Great ending to a nightmare story.
