That really is an accurate statement! Quite the increase in lumens. I will be considering these as well. Need to measure and plan my layout. I think I want to install a second set of lights towards the garage door end. When the door is open they can be turned off.

We also save $$$. 200 watts is like 3 fillament/halogen bulbs. I mean, its seriously a legit working space for just 200 watts an hour. the bulb alone I removed from the garage opener was 60watt, the 6 watts is nicer/last longer and will save $ overtime. albeit a long time.

I thought about wiring the 2nd pair to a switch as well, but I dont keep my garage door open a lot, when its closed, im usually tinkering. I rarely ever leave my door open for more than a few minutes. maybe when I mop it a few times a year and let the air dry the water out for an hour

Yeah, maybe it's not worth the hassle and extra installation costs to have a separate switch. Gotta see what I will do. Need to pull the trigger on this before winter.

How’d you hang that paddleboard on the wall? I am looking at ways to make that happen.

I have custom made swing arms, once I take kayaks off wall, the arms swivel over and go almost flush to wall. CNC machined blocks. friend owns a tooling company here, and he made them for me many years ago.

there was a set I wanted online but they didnt sell/make them anymore .let me see if I can find them since I couldn't, he made me the brackets to allow it too swivel

cant find anything, I just bought J arms, and he made me a pivot block thats mounted to wall. kayak mounts are cheap in nature really isnt bad. but I wanted to be able to fold them if I ever needed too

I can fit both my cars in the garage, and my motorcycles in there, but I put the bikes in line on side of wall, had to do it last year because a bad tornado came through, 18 of them in one night. destroyed the area, I got lucky. it stoped a block away but the hail was massive, I had to replace a ton shingles bicycles I just tossed inside the house to make room for motorcycles

if I had too, I would of tossed kayaks on my driveway to make sure for cars lol and folded their mounts in

That’s a sweet setup man. Dang... 18 tornadoes in 1 night?! Wow.

Thinking these are the TriBurst, bell & howel

https://triburst.com

Which has me thinking about turning one of these into a portable as in drop light for under the car work. Having the adjustable panel looks like a plus for that

This is the idea, using an old pole lamp here, maybe change out single LED bulbs. Replace one with the triburst, 3 panels would be more compact .

These shots show florescent fixtures. Remove ballast and installed LED tubes, direct wired. Been up over 5 years, not replace any LED tubes.

beautiful set up and ride. I get older car envy occasionally when I see something different than the typical black out murdered rat rod looking ride. I like it.

I honestly use ryobi tools as pictured before, there is a spotlight and also a foldable work light, both run on batteries, depending on how much light I need I just grab one or the other. cheap tools and work great only had 1 die in 5 years, I simply went to HD with receipt and they swapped it on spot instead of trying to have me repair it.

ha yeah. the one that stopped 1 block away, was EF4. it wiped out the whole area, like 20 homes gone, all the trees demolished, the poles gone etc. I lost shingles, a lot of them. but no real damage, and my house was cleaner than it has ever been, pressure washed it a good bit. I have a like 60 foot tree behind my house, biggest one in neighborhood. quite glad its strong and sturdy! Silver maples are a very fast growing tree, which can compromise its rigidity, but mine is beefy.
