I'm always happy to see women driving cars that are actually fun. My initial reaction is "oh hell yeah, that lady knows how to have fun, and I'm taking about a sincere affection for their appreciation of fun cars. I feel the same wether it's a 20 something or grandma behind the wheel, it warms my heart. I think it has something to do with the fact that I often wish I lived in a more fun simple time. I don't know if it's just what I've been fed through movies growing up, but I'm under the impression that back in say the 1960's, most ladies would be thrilled to have a fun cruise in a fast car. Today it seems like 9 out of 10 would prefer a boring plush emotionless luxury suv to drive or be carted around in, and that is boring and depressing to meet me.

33yo male checking in.

Come to think of it, very few people in general are into having fun on four wheels. Easily more than 99% of the vehicles I see on the road are nothing more than boring people moving appliances. We are the rare breed, all the more reason why any like minded auto enthusiast should be accepted with open arms. Definitely no sense in having prejudice amongst ourselves and making our little world that much smaller. Same goes for the fan boys who only appreciate one make, way to shrink your car world into one boring small bubble there buddy... These are probably the same weenies getting threatened by females in the car world.
I just had a memory of my mom (when she was now at my current age) tooling around in her silver 1981 Camaro. Flooring it made her giggle.

Alas, she traded it in for a Maxima. Surely Dad's fault!

I assume you're males? Please let me know if I am wrong...
If I am right, I would like to hear what other females experience if any are lurking :)
Throw in the trim you are driving...I think this possibly affects the behaviors of some males in daily life. Some. :headbonk:

Putting the immature ones aside (who get in *everyone's* way), it sounds like Mustang-driving males get along much better among themselves in general while on the road.

What do you guys think? Is it a "gear-head camaraderie" thing? :D;) Do many men believe females belong in little econoboxes or 'soccer-mom' vehicles only? :paddle::D:p
By todays standards, not in the least. Or at least where I'm from, it surely isn't. I think girls should drive whatever the hell they want, and I personally find it rather awesome when I see a girl driving a Mustang (or any muscle/sport/supercar) and driving it the way you should.

Fast and right!!! :headbang:

And I've seen all that.
A good example of this is when I was at my local Friday night custom car meet-up last week. While mostly older guys there, there was this lady (probably late 20's) with her father and was in a custom-painted blue 2014 Challenger. Assuming she was first timer there cause she was getting loads of questions from everyone else. Upon my own closer inspection, this thing was modded to high heaven! With drag Radials, suspension, a supercharger, and everything else under the hood, it all looked customized one way or the other. It was a kick-ass ride and she said its pushing over 700 rwhp!
The kicker? This woman did just about all this BY HERSELF! Paintjob, alignment, and dyno is the only thing she said she used a shop for. And she claimed this was just her "toy dragstrip car" :hail:
Needless to say, I was pretty impressed and honestly a bit jealous lol!
I highly doubt this woman had an 'econobox' in her garage

In my town, most of the 2015 GTs driving around usually have women behind the wheel (and they're all usually optioned out with 50TH AP, the 19" or 20" wheels). I've only seen 2 guys with GTs, one is a... dentist, other guy had PP.

Really impressive...I am a bit jelly myself since I grew up around hot rods (father restored a '32 chevy truck), stangs, vettes, GTOs, etc. Wish I had taken on the interest when really young like apparently this young lady did. :headbonk:

Edit...my dad's crazy-looking hot rod. Won a lot of trophies, and was featured in Hot Rod magazine. :D

Just installed a Magnaflow Street Sunday. Pulled up to a red light yesterday to turn left and the guy that was behind me was now beside me. He was hanging his head out of his truck grinning like a jackass chewing on a briar bush as I was working the gas pedal.
I think he likes the sound too!

Left the gym and there was this Indian guy who was taking pictures of my car. I said I caught him and he said he loved those cars.

More "Nice Car" compliments than ever!

This is my 4th Mustang. Had a 67 Notch/pale yellow in High School. Had a 2000 Laser Red V6 Vert for 11 years. Then sold it for a 2012 Red Candy V6 Vert w/Saddle interior. Sold her for this one in April.

In all the years of some very nice looking cars (all of them were pristine and modded), I have gotten more "Thumbs Up", "Nice Car Man"s and "Sweet Ride"s in the 3 months with this baby.

One unusual re-occurrence has been Bikers passing me, splitting lanes in our wonderful So Cal traffic, giving me long Thumbs Ups as they pass by. Obviously, Bikers can be Stang fans too. Maybe it's my plate they like also.

Cheers!
