Was at the Mobile gas station 1 day after my 5 week trip to Indiana and as an old guy was walking from the the station to his car gave me a thumbs up and said "nice mustang".

18 months after buying it new I am still getting compliments, just not a lot of them around my sleepy beachfront retirement community.

nobody pays me any attention.
I like it that way. I don't need compliments
No one needs these compliments, in fact I'm starting to get tired of them. Its the same to me as those tuner clowns who try to run every time they pull along side of me! They have no idea how badly they'll be embarrassed when I'm done with them! Therefore i dont waste my time or gasoline on them!

It's funny, over two years since I got mine and I still don't see myself coming and going. There's last gen and earlier Mustangs around so I always flash or give a thumbs up to other Mustang owners. Last week I visited a local car show and a few people noticed me getting out of the car and said it should be in the show, beautiful Mustang, etc. I got another compliment at the gas station- this guy wanted to know if my car was a special edition and remarked that it was hot. I told him it was a V6 and he thought it was cool. "300 HP is pretty fast" he said :)

Yeah I hear you, I drove up (15 minutes) to the Saint Augustine Stang show last year just to look at the cars and the guys at the gate thought I was entering the show, ha, ha.

Last night was pretty cool. We stopped by the Huge UPS hub to ship out my exhaust, and the lady there started talking about my mustang and how she was really impressed with the new ones. She asked if it was a V8 and I said nope, I only have half the cylinders. Her eyes lit up and she started asking me all about it and said she'd definitely have to go take an Eco for a test drive.

She then asked if it was ok if she left the counter while we filled out paperwork to go walk around it and asked to sit in it. She was out there for probably a good 10 minutes and came back in. Roughly 60-65 years old and her face was lit up like a 12 year old haha. She was super excited. When we left she came out to listen to it start up.

Does it count if I was driving home, and a friend I haven't seen since high school texts me, because he thinks he saw me drive by. Then when we're texting and catching up, I ask him what does he do nowadays? He tells me to come outside and I see an unmarked cop car with lights flashing parked facing my Mustang? lol

I hear you. I was pulled over this morning and the cop started asking me question about the car and why it didn't have a label on it. When I told him it was a V6 he was shocked because of the exhaust sound. Nice guy he let me go with a warning. What sucks is when I turned around he told me I had to get rid of the blue lights up front, "You can't have red or blue".:(

Surprisingly, I never receive complements for the way my mustang looks. No one cares about American made muscle cars around here.I got tons of looks when I had a Genesis Coupe R-Spec.The 20-30 yearolds I come in contact with
rather own a WRX or a GTI..I drive for BMW and whenever I ride around in a m series ,thats the car that gets noticed.I am proud to drive my mustang
despite the lack of attention.Maybe if it was 2 inches off the ground and had opened headers it would be cooler LOL.

Cool stories from the UK.

I pull up to my local gym and get out the car, a woman then approaches me and goes "I thought I heard a V8! That's a gorgeous Mustang you have" and we got chatting about cars and how she owned an imported 1967 coupé. On the way home a couple in a 1969 Camaro Z28 honked and gave me the thumbs up.

Outside a supermarket an imported 2016 metallic blue Dodge RAM 1500 was parked next to me, the owner taking a photograph of both cars together. Mustangs are still quite rare in the UK, so are any American Pickups. To have both together in the same space is quite the find.

I had a fellow on a crotch rocket pull up next to me on the interstate tonight while I was on my way home from supper. He got right next to me, matched my speed, gave me a thumbs up, nodded when he saw me look at him, then drove away.
