I'm not familiar with KAM but if doing a KAM reset removed any learned tables that would be why. The car is likely defaulting to a bit richer fuel mix and bit lighter timing to be on the safe side. After a few drives it will slowly re-learn the tables and lean back up a bit. You likely won't notice the sound change as it's a learning it does over time. Unlike when you do a reset that removes the learning all at once. All I know is I’ve definitely noticed a change when I did a kam reset after any exhaust change. When I went from factory resonator to H-pipe the sound definitely changed before/after a KAM RESET. Same thing when I changed to the switchfire. It was a much higher pitch for the first two drives, then I did a kam reset and it got much deeper. Not sure what the reasoning is but it made a difference in my car.
