All I know is I’ve definitely noticed a change when I did a kam reset after any exhaust change. When I went from factory resonator to H-pipe the sound definitely changed before/after a KAM RESET. Same thing when I changed to the switchfire. It was a much higher pitch for the first two drives, then I did a kam reset and it got much deeper. Not sure what the reasoning is but it made a difference in my car.
I'm not familiar with KAM but if doing a KAM reset removed any learned tables that would be why. The car is likely defaulting to a bit richer fuel mix and bit lighter timing to be on the safe side. After a few drives it will slowly re-learn the tables and lean back up a bit. You likely won't notice the sound change as it's a learning it does over time. Unlike when you do a reset that removes the learning all at once.

That’s exactly what a KAM reset is!

Perfect. Thank you! Saved me a headache.
Don’t think you would have any issues you’ve got plenty of wiggle room on each side of the switchfire to make it fit.
pipes into the switchfire can be pulled out slightly.
equally the same with the muffler end. Surely you can pull or push the mufflers slightly to compensate, they’re only on hangers that have a bit of play too?.
Am I correct ?
Cheers

Just for info guys.
The switchfire fits perfectly if you have already done a resonator delete with a steeda H pipe. Just be sure to push the mufflers a bit to not let the valve cables touch the chassis or you’ll get blown fuses.
Ps the switchfire is amazing

That's what makes no sense to me. What, does a KAM reset change the firing order? Regardless of the timing/fuel mapping, the exhaust pulses still occur in the same cycle.
KAM reset is a good thing
It resets all the fuel tables back to 0 or 1.00 and you’ll notice the car more powerful for a while

I guess going from the h pipe to switchfire it might not be necessary because there’s not much change in restriction but from the stock to switchfire for sure and any muffler change as it’ll change the back pressure.
Backpressure isn't really accounted for in the tune or the KAM in any way that a reset would change the performance of the motor.

Its mostly just fuel adaptations, and user settings that get stored there.
