@K4fxd last I checked vr1 is conventional only not synthetic. Fwiw not all 30 weights can achieve a3/b4 due to the hths requirement.

They make both conventional and syn. I don't think any conventional can meet the 10w60 BMW requirement.

What about Castrol edge 5w-40 I see it meets those specs?
Brenspeed installed my supercharger and that's what they use so that's what I'll use. Amsoil website has a discount purchase program that's a good deal. Not cheap but significant.

A better option than most, for sure. I’d look into the base oil and see if it’s a group 3, 3+, or 4. I generally try to use 3+ or 4 if possible.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum synthetic 5w30 and standard Motorcraft oil filter is all you need. Unless heavily tracking the car...

Meaning. Road course racing when oil temperatures exceed 270+° for 12-20 minutes straight.

I had my Roush Phase 2 installed at Brenspeed and they use Amsoil signature 5w50 full synthetic which is what I use. Amsoil offers a discount for members and if you buy enough for a couple of changes it's worth the one year subscription.

Take a look at the newest CK-4 oils.
I’d welcome some feedback from others on what Delvac ESP 0/5W-40 CK-4 has evolved into recently. It appears there’s not much of a gap between CK-4 and Euro A3/B4 oils.
I know a few F-150 EcoBoost guys that have switched to Citgo Citgard 1000 5W-40. The EB phaser rattles are now quiet as a church mouse.

We recommend swapping to 5w50 weight oil. We prefer to use driven fr50 , they make a great oil
Based on what oil temps and climate? What type of driving? What bearing clearances?
