Update...the clutch is finally in the car and torqued to spec (with loctite as the directions specify). I also had the PBH Gen1/Gen2 metal oil pan conversion done to the car while it was down. I hope to have it back on the road here by the end of the week and begin the clutch break-in procedure. During the transmission removal the Barton shifter was damaged, so I got another one and it's installed on the trans, as well.

The trans fell off the trans jack. I wasn't there when it happened and the shop owner and I have been friends for 37 years so I couldn't be too mad at him.

That clutch is one of my favorite mods by far. That and the shifter are amazing

Did you go with the stage 3 or the stage 2?

I went with stage 2 to handle road racing heat. It’s been amazing so far

Picked up the car last night. So far it feels good. Not a lot of chatter and it engages well. I think the pedal might be a tiny bit stiffer than the stage 2 was but not a huge difference. I have about 80 miles on it and the effort has gotten a little easier and the engagement is smoothing out already. I reached out to Vengeance to see what they recommend as a break in procedure and here it is:

Street: 700-1000 city miles, easy driving, no long slips, burnouts, or hard launches

Drag Racing: no launches, 5-7 light passes at the strip with cooldown in between passes

Drifting: no launches, 3-5 light passes, on and off the engagement, no feathering, limit slip until grip

I am considering getting Stage 2 (Stock Roush HP and Torque). It would take me two or three months at that street break-in rate.

I just had the car up on a lift to check the oil pan for leaks. Bone dry. I am really liking this set-up and the side benefit of going to the Gen1/Gen2 oil pan is it's 8 quarts now instead of 10, so it saves about $25 per oil change. That eventually will pay for itself. I have about 120 miles of easy driving on the new set-up and so far I REALLY like it. I have been shifting before 3500rpm mostly, with the occasional run to 4000. I had 1 time I ran second out to about 5200 but I didn't slam on the gas, I just gently added throttle. I am going to put a couple of hundred miles on it today running a few streets that have a lot of traffic lights from Baltimore city out to Harford county and back a few times, then a run down to Solomon's Island for lunch tomorrow. Should easily put me north of 500 miles by tomorrow evening.
