so I've ordered a set of catless LT headers, intake, and a lund e-85 tune for my 2020 mustang gt, and let me tell yall im terrified to void the warranty but it most be done at this point. with that i was curious how are all these gen 3s holding up to simple bolt-ons and is there anything i should be paying extra attention to cars only got 4400 miles and ive had no issues so far.

Warranties don't get voided, claims get denied. But with that said, I threw an intake and Lund e85 tune on my car at 5k miles. Drove it like hell until 48.5k and then boosted it. Continued to drive it like hell to this day at 82k. Still kickin and the abuse is much worse now. I had one wheel bearing go bad. Ford was going to warranty it despite the tune but their turn around time sucked so I fixed it myself. If you've beat on it for the first 4k miles and it's still performing like it should, I'd be confident rolling the dice on mods. If you've babied it up until now, I might test the motor before tuning.

Don’t be afraid, go ahead and set it up the way you want. I put suspension, LTHs, X-pipe, nitrous and tuned for E85 with just 472 miles on my Bullitt. So far it’s held up very well, safe for burnt clutch which I caused myself by trying to adjust a clutch mod that I had installed. You should be fine.

Been boosted since 500 miles, pushed the thresh hold to over 750 whp for over a year and now I’m well over 950 whp + with out any issues other than ones created by owning a daily driven race car! Any time you do anything on a car or in life you take a gamble but if you do it the right way your odds are better in your favor. I say stop being sacred and send it!!

if you're hesitant extensive modifications are a terrible idea.

As was stated warranty doesn't get voided a claim can just be denied.

I'd skip the intake as the 18+ flows efficiently and keeps iats down.

The Gen 3's are very stout. I wouldn't be concerned at all with a full bolt-on E85 setup. I made over 1100rwhp on our stock motor 2018 GT with just an OPG and crank sprocket upgrade. Went 8.64@157 with that combo as well and never had an issue.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with in the meantime.

Thanks!
