So I want to do some bolt ons to my 17 CS GT, specifically a res delete cat back exhaust, cold air intake, and I was thinking about a bigger throttle body (90mm ?), and either the cobra or an aftermarket intake manifold. I have to assume that a tune will absolutely be required, but everything I read says that a tune voids warranty. Is there any point in doing ANY of these bolt-ons WITHOUT a tune ?
Also, on the subject of a cold air intake, I have a functional ram air hood on my car from Cervini Customs. I drilled out the block plate in the grille in front of the air intake, and installed a K&N OEM air filter in the stock air box. Intake air temps are now obviously radically different. Even with the ram air hood, given that the CAI live UNDER the hood, will a CAI have any benefit ?
Thanks,
Tim
