Is the trunk lid different between a LE and a V6? No. Does a customer has to fix a "crooked" car? No. If I had a Bentley I wouldn't touch it if the trunk lid wouldn't fit. That's the dealers problem! If a LE shows "after work marks" it loses on value...

I'm pretty sure that if his LE has a crooked trunk and rear glass the value takes a loss too. I'm pretty sure that if Ford tore apart a brand new car to do major body work it would take the same hit in value.

To compare a Bentley to a Ford is ridiculous because a Bentley wouldn't be built on a moving assembly line with poor Quality Control. I'm as frustrated as you with my crooked Mustang.

I am not comparing. You can take every brand new car. If I would have bought a $1,500 Tata Motors NANO and my doors are tilt, the dealer has to fix it. That's not my job!
But I am sure that my dealer will get it fixed in time. I will not start any trouble. Only a nice car.

Here a video from FORD Flat Rock assembly plant:

I agree with you and I hope it works out for you. Ford denied my repairs and I had to file a claim with BBB auto line. Love the car but my doors, fenders, bumpers, hood, trunk, and rear glass are all crooked.

Hey Rob,

I do see that Rachel offered assistance in December via PM, when you were trying to get an appointment with your dealer. When I joined the forum last week, I also let you know that (since the parts were already getting escalated) if you needed further assistance, to let me know. :)

When they attempted to fix mine all they did was bring the top out but then the bottom stuck out pretty far body shop said well that one over there is the same way pissed me off so I called sales manger they compared it to another one and I ended up getting a new one but he did tell me Ford didn't care one bit
I'm glad they were able to fix the issue, Yamah811! Let me know if you have any future questions or concerns. I'll see how I can further assist. :)

Is Ford aware about this issues? BTW: Do you know what TSB my service man mentioned?
NAVIGATION screen units have to be checked? Would be nice to know because my display drives me nuts.

I just traded that one in. And sorry no one can help with my dealer anyways, heck they been blowing off Fords top brass

And sorry my bad experience goes way back, kike in 2011 when I contacted you guys and had my warranty voided then reinstated by the 313 number I have. I got a 313 number to call if I have issues. Wait a minute that lady is now over all the local dealers service as I found out today.

The only way you could help now is take a cattle prong to my dealer and shock them every 5 minutes they stand around scratching their heads.

Just say my cars been fixed for 5 weeks and now the dealer can't figure airbags out. It's been so long I could have did the work myself and been done weeks ago. Since I had to get them the hard to get parts anyways. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.

I know that I've said this many times, but I'm on the same boat. I wonder how their process works. Why are some dealers being approved to fix people's cars, and some aren't? Do some dealers have more power/privilege than others?
It's hit or miss with Ford, I think that if the dealership pushes the issue for you with Ford then it might get approved. The CSR's are either awesome or they are no help at all. Mine is useless, doesn't return calls and didn't help with my issues at all.

Same here.

Check out the Invoice/Report of my 1st appointment (1st dealer): < http://imgur.com/a/6FxjI >

What cracks me up: "Compare to like vehicle, Normal".

Ridiculous! Basically, warranty means nothing when someone decides it's normal? WTF?

When I was at a gas station to run my car through a no touch wash and I went inside to pay a white 2015 GT Premium parked next to me. The car had no panel alignment issues at all, the trunk didn't look like it was missing a chunk in the corner, the black appliqué lined up perfectly, rear glass was perfect. If I see him again I am snapping pictures to show the dealership that crooked panels are NOT normal!

Keep on them. Mine was that way too, I started calling different extensions close to theirs and escalating every day until I got calls back. Leave messages for other CSMs. Youll get someone.

Mine already closed my case because the field engineer said it's within tolerance [emoji35]

Reading all this makes me want to wait till the demand is gone and hopefully quality get better without the rush to get cars out. When I was at the dealer I noticed the fender / hood misalignment and walked around every car and it was like that. Also in the middle of the hood and front bumper drives me crazy. If I do get one its definitely going to be a 24 month lease.

"Guio": Did you take the time to inspect your Mustang at delivery? If you saw problems, what negotiations did you enter with your dealership before you paid for it?

These stories have convinced me more and more that my original decision to spend hours not minutes inspecting my delivered cars is correct. And that I will wait for the dealership to fix any problems I find before I pay for the convertible. I want to drive my car, not fight with Ford to fix problems that should have been fixed at Flat Rock.

Hey Papaya,

I'm not aware of a current TSB. Those however, are sent directly to your dealer. When your techs diagnose an issue, they're able to search their database for any TSBs, recalls, etc.
Whenever a vehicle is diagnosed with an issue, it's recorded in our system. That's why it's important to always have your vehicle checked out. The more documented occurrences there are, the more Ford is aware of the situation.
This, along with any product feedback documented, allows Ford to determine areas of customer concern.
