The BMW M8 styling cues look like they're directly from the Mustang Engineering book:

That is a nice-looking car and looks better in person to me.

Was beside an 8 the other day and it struck me as a late 1990s Camry on that that one looked better.

The 8 does absolutely nothing for me. Looks cheap ( twilight's) and rice (huge rear vents) and side profile looks like a very bad copy of Mustang.

Over all very effeminate looking car....they midas well throw eyelashes on the head lights LOL.

It's not selling well at all. Can easily get $20K+ off and cheap money in some markets.
What a bout a rear vent is "rice"?

Needs the buck-tooth grille from the M4 to gain some individuality, IMO.

(I actually like that front end, unlike most.)

IMO the tail lights profile are kinda like 1990s Camry while the vest is huge looks like a bolt on bumper....perhaps it the symmetry was more balanced....

It's all theatrics McLarens show that huge bodywork ducts not needed...

Regardless some people like them though seem to be slow sellers
Looking Japanese inspired is not "rice". Nore does what works for one by style have to do with what works best for another body shape.

I think it looks like a big, 2-door coupe with room for a V8 in the front. Really there aren't very many similarities with Mustang. The styling of the front is completely different (headlights and grill look nothing like the Mustang parts). Same with the rear. It looks nothing like the Mustang. And the side vents don't look like something on a Mustang. Even just the general shape of the large divot in the side of the car doesn't look anything like the sculpting on the side of the Mustang.

The roof line looks similar, but the Mustang roof line is very generic IMO.

The M8 appears to be what was the M6 a few years ago. Same everything, including price. I took a 2015 M6 for a test drive when I bought my Mustang. Their prices drop like a rock used. It was an incredibly comfortable car, but the ride is harsh on poor roads. Handling is outstanding, especially considering the weight. But, it is really heavy and you notice it. I thought the Mustang convertible was heavy (around 3900 lbs), but the M6 goes over 4500 lbs,

Wow, quick glance and it looks like a S550 Mustang.
