Installed the short BMR jacking rails today but can't the passenger side end bolt at the rear to go in all the way. Everything lines up. Took it off put back on couple times. Anyone else have this issue? May have to take pic to see where its hitting & dremel out a little.

Don t know if they are all the same through out different brands but some have a left and right rail. Mixing them up would aligned the rear bolt on one side in the wrong hole. Check it out as it may or may not help you. The bolts should go right in. If you look in the area you ll see 2 holes at the rear.

is if you see the 2 holes in the rear see which one the bolt goes into all the way and then align the rails accordingly. just a thought.
Pull them off a match them up to see of there is a difference.

Will try that tomorrow. 1st pic is rear bolt in all the way & 2nd is the one not going in. You can't tell from pic but its sticking out beyond rail just a little.

Just curious if maybe the seam sealer was preventing it from lining up exactly
Maybe. Very odd because rail seems straight.

I had to force mine a little because of the seam at the front, fyi. Bolted and tightened it down right over it though.
I actually had to take a putty knife and scrape some of mine off because my Steeda rails wouldn’t sit flush.

I installed in driveway by feel. Will try to get on a lift & see if cleanup works. Thanks.

I thought exactly the same after viewing that picture :like:

It also looks like the hole was a reasonably good fit on the bolt which I think is a little unnecessary for this application - I choose to make my holes 16mm (good wiggle room around the M10’s and still easily covered by the 28mm captive washers).

It might seem excessive, but it was cheaper to do that (including buying the hole saws etc) then getting BMR or Steeda at U.K. prices :like:
