One thing that annoys me about stock shifter is the play while in gear. Feels so loose. How is it now? Any video of shifting and play?

MUCH tighter. Play is not an issue at all. You will notice throttle/torque induced movement in the transmission since the shifter is essentially direct connected.

I just installed my blowfish racing bracket this weekend. It took me about 4 hours including jacking the car up, but that could be because i'm just learning how to work on cars. My shifter is now siting lower.

Shifts are now tighter and much more willing to go into gear. Everything feels more solid and connected. I feel like this is already preserving the life of my synchros.

The downside is vibration. If you now hold the shifter for minutes at a time it would be bone rattling. You can physically see the shifter rattling around (it doesn't make sound though). I definitely wouldn't want this level of vibration if I had a Cadillac, but its a mustang so its excusable :) That being said, vibrations are NOT transferred into the surrounding cabin, not even around the transmission tunnel.

Good review C.A. if I could trade the "notchiness" and "sloppiness" for vibration I would most definently do it. You mentioned that the shifter felt more solid. But what about the notchiness on the shifter? Did that get improved?

Does it feel more notchy when shifting into gears?

Notchiness is definitely reduced with the blowfish racing bracket! I find it much easier to get the transmission into gear. There is still a notchy feeling going into some gears, but the I don't have to force the shifter into position as I did before. The transmission feels much more willing to do what I want it to do now.

Just picked up a used Blowfish Bracket and I see that mine is actually 3 blue pieces. The video I've seen was just two? Mine seems to push the Mounting bracket further back. Is this a newer or older version? I've seen a few pics of others that also have the 3rd piece.

Nevermind. Just found Instructions on LMR website and extension piece is for V6 and Ecoboost.

Looking to get this in the near future. When i first got the GT it was butter smooth but after about 400ish miles it seems more notchy when shifting.

I had the same issue with my 12' SS Camaro Tremec's transmission. For that car i had to switch trans fluid to synthetic, got a MGW shifter, SS clutch line and a forum member made a modified clutch master cylinder. It was much better and tolerable but didn't eliminate it 100%

so far i love it and the notch from 1 to 2 isnt there anymore. tomorrow ill go to MAK performance and get the cat delete and Saturday ill be going to Palm Beach Int.Raceway for Street Racing Made Safe. Then i can really push this bracket to its limits.
