I'm curious about the order process - maybe I'm misunderstanding something.

I thought (per the ordering guide here) that when you placed your order, you got a DORA which could be used to check COTUS on status (order number, dealer number, last name). I think next status change is being issued a VIN.

My dealer has sent me my order info and it includes a preview order number (#9898), that does not work in COTUS. When I asked about the DORA, he said the preview order is all I would have until I got a VIN.

Am I missing something? Is what he's saying accurate and the guide is not completely correct? Or am I misunderstanding what happens in which order?

COTUS doesn't work for the GT350's. I have a VIN and it just says A matching vehicle could not be determined. Please contact your dealer to get status updated about your order..

COTUS doesn't work with GT350s. Nobody knows why.

It gets a little easier each time, but still excited! The hard part will be not talking about it - I'm planning to surprise my son, who loves Mustangs (he's turning 9 on 12/23). A little bit of this purchase is a father-son thing. :love: Maybe I'll give this to him when he gets older.

Thanks, I subbed and responded to both. I'm down for a wing and will likely replace the wheels, although I'm not sure I want R replicas. Not a poseur and don't want to look like all the other 350s.

Btw, decided to tell my son so I could go to local events in the interim without trying to hide the fact from my son. He jumped up and ran around the room all excited. He keeps asking when it will be here.
