After talking to enough dealerships to satisfy myself with the options out there, I just placed an order with a local Atlanta dealer.

Black OTT stripes
Painted black roof
Tech package

I expect to get a VIN in 3-4 weeks. Not sure if there is much to between now and then other than wait and enjoy everyone else's cars

Would love to see it when you get it. I understand they had someone else with the same order as me get theirs recently. I want to go by and see the RR in person because pictures vary greatly.

Thanks! No worries about waiting. Gives me lots of time to read (usually I research for months first, this was sort of 'spur of the moment', relatively speaking). Everything I've bought in the last 13 years (except my first 911, which came off the lot) was a custom order or shipment from another dealer.

It gets a little easier each time, but still excited! The hard part will be not talking about it - I'm planning to surprise my son, who loves Mustangs (he's turning 9 on 12/23). A little bit of this purchase is a father-son thing. :love: Maybe I'll give this to him when he gets older.

I wouldn't mind pricing a track pack wing and some aftermarket wheels in the interim.

Since I am currently driving a 2016 RR GT350 with a black roof and black over the top stripes & tech pack. I will predict that you will enjoy the heck out of your car!!! Did you get sticker???

My dad used to have a 67 Fastback. He was definitely excited when I told him about the Shelby.

I did not get sticker, but I paid the lowest markup I found so I could order whatever I wanted. I have AR15's that cost more, so I'm not going to sweat it. In fact, I was going to keep shopping when my wife demanded I place the order.
