Has anyone heard when these will be coming for the S550? I've seen in a couple places they've been working on it but have never seen an approximate date. If I remember correctly, Koni yellows are supposed to be available 5/1? I'd prefer Bilsteins but without info, I'm worried that could turn into a perpetual coming soon story and I'll be waiting another year. I know I HAVE to get the OEM replaced, they really suck.

Talked with both Koni and Bilstein as well as Qa1. Koni said early May dealers are taking money for these now. Bilstein said late May. QA1 has said they are getting plenty of interest and will start soon.

For either Bilstein or Koni - what is the plan for the front spring isolator and top mount...reuse the OEM from the old struts, order the Ford Racing units (I'm assuming they are the same as OEM?) or do these manufacturers typically supply something for their struts?

Thanks! With those choices, I think I'll wait for the Bilstein's. I just wish dealers would start talking about them.

I can't tell you how many times I almost just bought the FRPP dampers to go with my Steeda progressives because of reading posts here. The thing I have to keep in mind is everyone that does an upgrade says it's great and perfect. I heard that about just putting on the Steeda progressive springs. Don't get me wrong, I love the Steeda progressive springs and the ride quality along with control is MUCH better than stock but it isn't "good". The car is way too bouncy, feels like I'm just riding on springs and the dampers are hardly doing anything. OK, I'm exaggerating to make a point but I'm sure most of you know what I mean. I NEED new dampers and I only want to buy/replace them one time. If I only do it once, I have the most faith in Bilstein although Koni aren't bad. My experience with Koni has been the control was very good but the ride quality on the sport series wasn't as good as Bilstein which had very good of both.

Well I just called Bilstein and the news wasn't so good. They said it would be more like August/September and as of now they are only planning the B6 series which is stock ride height and the B14 coilover. I was really looking for something like the B8 for lowered cars or the B12 Pro kits. Oh well, guess it'll be Koni or FRPP.

Yeah I think the Koni's are going to be your best bet. They're on my list and I'll probably be purchasing them later this year

I asked Bilstein Germany when they'd be offering the announced B16 for the Ecoboost. They just replied and told me that it'll be available by the end of may (€1.899,-) .

I will go with the Eibach Pro Street S coil-overs. Looks like the best deal for me.

LOL. I called again today to Bilstein East/West. The west told me October. The east put me on hold and came back and said he is Emailing with their development team and late june or july. :frosty: I will not be calling them anymore. Do not want to get on their ship list if ya know what I mean. Looks like I will be going Koni.
