Just switched the trans and diff to BG...night and day difference. How many miles / track days can I get out of it?

It depends obviously on how hot everything gets. Heat is the enemy. I plan on changing the transmission fluid in our car to get a sample of it to see how it faired running three days at Daytona.

I say once a season if you attend a lot of track days as a maint. item. I still scratch my head at NASA/SCCA guys that run years and wonder why they experience failures to find out the differential has the original fluid in the car LOL.

If you notice the shifting returning to notchiness after a few hard events then maybe a change or the MGC additive package, which we haven't offered yet.

What about a daily driver? I'm hoping to get at least 5 years out of this. I don't see myself paying $80 a year and taking the time to change the fluid.

Minimum 30k miles, can probably go 60k without issue.

May I aks when I should wait to break in my manual first before fluid change. Only have 400 miles at the moment. How many miles have to be driven to be considered broken in??

I would say, at least 4000-5000 miles.

Anything over 1000. If you do a track day it will be broken in. The rear axle if you have a torsen seems to degrade very quickly.

So yes get some miles on it first.

ordered my kit for both yesterday. I guess from your last post I should wait to have 1000 miles on it before doing the Diff and Tranny?

Well atleast most of the metal will come out of the rear axle by 1000 miles :) (Normal)

I would like to see you get some more miles on it if you can dodge the snow and ice storms. Let all the factory oil take the metal from break-in. I think the results are usually more drastic :D

Mine is at 3,300 miles and I have the BG combo pack ready to make the switch. (Just got a heater for the garage, now I can f*ck some sh*t up and at least be warm when I do it).

3300 miles here, just changed the trans fluid to BG. Huge difference, smoother, quieter shifts for sure. Weather has been in the '40's and could tell the difference within the first few miles after changing.

I'm at 5k and will probably be around 6k before I can get around to changing this out and doing my first oil change. You guys are too paranoid, I'm breaking this thing in
