BG Syncro Shift II from Optimum Performance

So I talked to tech and he said he put the fluids all the way to the bottom piece of the fill plug. He poked his finger to check. But he used all oils! This morning I didn't see oil residue on the ground so I guess I should be fine.

Now I am little bit confused about the effectiveness of the gear oil. I really don't feel much different :( Perhaps he didn't wait 5-10 minutes for the oil to drain completely? Still, I was expecting more of a big difference like what everyone is saying. It's still notchy, makes noise, etc. Hmm

You change the transmission oil as well right

I hope the mechanic is honest and actually change the oil because I noticed a huge difference

Have you swapped your shifter to an aftermarket version ? The thing that typically rattles is if your missing the white plastic washer underneath the reverse lockout collar. If you have ever removed your lockout collar or shifter, you may have lost that bit.

Oh it's stock. My next mod is going to be short shifter for sure. Hate the notchy feeling in first to fourth. Something is stuck there. Just waiting for black friday deals

I saw him working on it when I got to the shop little early. He was pumping in. Maybe he didn't wait that 5-10 minutes to drain the oil completely. I am not sure, but little bit disappointed. I can't blame it though because most people say it worked. Just not me :(

Sorry about the confusion. He used fingers on the rear axle. I was watching him working on it. No issues. I'd have to say there is no lockout in gears like other people said in spirited driving. I feel like shifts get more smooth in spirited driving. Although I can't tell the difference from stock oil experience since car was under 1000 miles and I babied her.

Got it done at my local ford dealership when I had it in for alignment. Noticeable difference in shifting accuracy and overall feel.
