+1 for the rag company. Even paying for shipping to Australia the price was great.

Also I can recommend the Korean made microfiber over any of the chinese made stuff. It really is a higher quality product, you can feel the difference between chinese made and korean made !

They are way better than anything I have purchased in Australia and cheaper!
I use them too.Good quality,great prices.

I stopped with micro fibers. Every micro fiber rag I've tried left fibers on my car that are hard as hell to get off. Have to rewash my car.
Thats a fact.A lot of them are a real pain in the ass. I bought some designated window towels that left tiny fibers all over the glass.I now use them under the dogs water bowl. They work ok for this.

My All purpose MFs are the ones at Walmart in Canada ("Tune It" brand). They are 70/30 blend with a short and long pile side, 12x12, very plush for cheapies and perfect at 60 cents a piece.

For polishing/wax removal, I use eShine's Cookie Monsters. 16x16 double super plush pile. They attract polish dust very well and don't mare paint at all. A little more expensive but worth it at around 5$ a piece. I'll look into a bulk supplier if I eventually need larger quantities of these (group buy anyone?)

I dry using a combo of shop blower and blotting with a large drying towel again from Walmart Ca. These are surprisingly absorbent, very plush with synthetic silk lining and at 5$ a piece, it's a no brainer!

I don't care about the provenance of the product as much as I do about it's cost vs effectiveness. Having a black car with OCD gets you thinking about ways to minimize the damage, but also being cheap makes me seek more affordable alternatives. Win/win in my book.

Another thing I noticed about most MFs regardless of provenance or quality, the laser cut corners often still have tiny burnt fibers stuck to them. So those who are possibly getting scratches with brand new towels, that's something you can check out. The first thing I do when opening a pack of MFs is to cut the corners (1/8") and wash them with unscented liquid detergent.

The secret to beautiful paint: Don't touch it! (or in our deranged cases, as less/lightly as possible)

With as many MF that are in this thread, this is all I could think about while reading through.

But the best towels I've found are the Chadwicks towels. I threw one in my closet the other day after a bath and it stuck to the wall for 5 minutes before I pulled it off. Crazy!

Well had some Griots towels. They worked great. But after dropping a few and as you know you know a pain to get lil pieces of crap out of them. I paid a lot of money for them though and after this thread i checked out the rag company. Great prices and i got a lot more stuff than I got at Griots for 3/4 the price. Now i love Griots car cleaning and other products and will continue to use those. But anyways i will report back after i get them and use them!

Got my the rag shop order in. Very fast shipping! Got two free towels a washing towel and a 420grm microfiber. Plus a sticker and a sunglass/radio cleaning cloth. Most of the towels i ordered are the Korean blends and one set i got for the interior and exterior plastic areas are china blend.

Just tried a couple of McGuires ordered from Amazon for $8 each or so. Work fine.
