Respectfully no. 03-04 Cobra gets my vote.
Ya, those look pretty sinister.

I think a 21+ M1 with the black Bullitt (19-20) treatment might knock the 69 Boss 302 and terminator Cobras off though…

Yes the Machs do look good, especially with the handling package. The stance and wheels give it more of an aggressive look over a bone stock Terminator with it's small tucked wheels and tall ride height. But lowered and with meaty 325+ wheels, it looks mean.

Yep, that's my fave as well - it's what I think of when I think of a Mustang.

Here's another view of it, in a different color:

This, in my opinion:

Anybody agree?

I like the ‘70 but the outer headlights delete didn’t do it for me.
4 light 69 fastback is my favorite. Make it the Boss 429 and add the rear scoups for the ultimate in badassery...

My old 71 coupe is a close second because of the low/wide stance and the chrome vs. the later colorkeyed bumpers is second, but I am biased...

I had one of those “big” Mustangs too, a 72 base model with a 351C 2v. Sounded great at idle and off idle but the power wilted like a petunia in a blow torch Not long after.

it never got a lot of respect in the looks dept but I have a picture of it up at my desk at work. Looks great.

Those are fine but nothing can top the purposeful, aggressive lines of this '77 Ghia. It just screams "Back off, I'm a badass!"

I like them festooned with “Cobra” crap all over. Cue The Bee Gees…

apparently they sold well but owner satisfaction was in the toilet. Esp for performance with the 400ci Trans Am out at the same time.

but hey, it introduced the “5.0” badge (well, decal on the hood “power bulge”)

As long as you stay away from the landau top :puke: . There is a special place in hell for the person who thought that monstrosity up...

Am I the only one who thinks the S550 fastback would have looked great with the 1969 style non functional rear quarter scoops?

I think the current run are the best looking Mustangs made. Not into nostalgia. Early ones had their time.

I will say, when I was 8 my Mom pulled up to a light and it was the exact view of that yellow w/rear window slats, 69 Mach 1, that really made a HUGE impression on me.

But 1970 1/2 Trans Am Ram Air iv and 1970 1/2 Z-28 had my full attention. I went Chevy until the 80s. It's been Ford ever since.
