Best Corvette Ever?

I just wanted to change up the sports car topics. I know some of you who own Mustangs probably maybe own a Corvette too or have owned one. I would just like to know everybody’s favorite Corvette. My favorite is a 1969 427/435HP 4 speed. I will own one one day. I happened to be flipping by the movie Apollo 13 right when the scene where Mattingly is standing in front of his 1970 Gold Stingray C3 Corvette. That car is freaking gorgeous. That is what made me think of this question.

I have always thought of a 454 as well. I drove a buddies C5 and that shit was amazing.

67 427 would be the classic I can’t afford without dipping into the 401K. But the one I’d want the most!. I could probably live with an 81 or a C5 just because I really like the way both of those styles looked.

Yes, a 1960 but you asked “ I would just like to know everybody’s favourite Corvette“ not which one they owned.

I has owned 5 Vettes and my brother and I used to rebuild them, before parts got too expensive and paint got too toxic. My favorite is the first one I owned. It was a 58 that I got cheap because it had a 3 speed transmission. That was in 1961. The car just had a cool factor you didn't have with a 57 Chevy. It was also a simple car, compared to the ones that followed. Between 63 and 71 they were a huge pain in the ass.

As much as I love the ZL1 engine, I never cared for the 3rd gen body.

I am a little biased as I loved my C7 Z51.

But by far the best Corvette ever made is the current C8. It beats the living shit out of every other Corvette (and basically every other car in the market with the exception of some cars priced WELL beyond what a C8 costs) in every category except ones that are personal preference such as appearance.

Truly what Chevrolet did with that car and at that price point is beyond anything else.

I know this is a Mustang forum and I do love my Mustang. But the C8 is truly a thing of beauty pure and simple.
