Good article. I found it interesting that American Collectors Insurance was mentioned in it… LOL, that’s the Ins. Co. my Cobra been insured with for the last 15+ years…. Great company and would recommend them to anyone.

I think the confusion is this:
There is a difference between the 1st Mustang BUILT and the 1st Mustang SOLD to a Consumer.
The blue Mustang above was the 1st sold to a Consumer (the School Teacher who still owns it and it was recently restored). This Mustang has been in many news articles and Magazines every time there's a Mustang milestone.
The 1st Mustang BUILT was not the 1st Mustang sold. This Mustang was inadvertently sold to the Pilot - and as the story goes, Ford wanted that Mustang back after finding out it was sold due to its significance in it being THE FIRST BUILT off the assembly line.
