Okay. I just ran into a big issue. The exedy mach 500 pressure plate only aligns with 6 bolts rather than the 9 bolts as per the OEM one. is 6 bolts enough or i dont know if i got the wrong part. The part i ordered is https://www.americanmuscle.com/exedy-stage1-clutch-2015gt.html.

Can anyone help?
I have attached photos for reference.

I checked the American muscle website to buy and they have advertising it wrong all along. Directly go to the exedy website if you are buying an upgraded clutch. American Muscle accepted that it was their mistake. I am sending it back to American muscle. Getting an OEM.

Ahh fk that sucks. Ok ill buy directly from Exedy and buy an OEM flywheel through Ford. Tempted to just go the exedy flywheel and then ill know it matches. Deal with the learning curve on driving.

Hey so the update is, i contacted exedy and they confirmed my pressure plate and the part was right. Their website said it does not fit because they put the same package of the clutch kit-included a slave cylinder and put a different product number. Then they apologised and i put the exedy in. Feels great for now. The garage i took my car messed up my shifter mounting point. So i have not driven the car yet.

And also the main point is exedy clutch uses only 6 bolts.

I ran into the same issue on their website compared to other venders. I tried several part numbers and got some saying it fits and others saying it doesn't. Not a very good way of doing business so I am going to pass on this brand and go with a Vengeance stage 1.

Exedy Mach 500 and chromoly flywheel. Have the set waiting to go into my car and I think I’m right around $850 for both. The clutch kit is an HD organic and will hold anything naturally aspirated. It comes with a throwout bearing and pilot bearing.
Hello, I know i'm a bit late to the game on this thread, but I am in the market for a clutch assembly replacement. Currently have a stock MT-82 and I just don't like it. It's "notchy", I'm always hitting metal when I go into 3rd / "gear nibble" and the rev hang on it is very bad. When it's cold it sometimes won't go into 2nd gear, I just don't like it. I'm not boosted or anything like that, fully stock, just a CAI and exhaust and don't plan on doing anything other than a tune. I'm just looking for a smoothly engaging clutch that allows for quick shifting during spirited driving. Would the 500 fit the bill? are you still enjoying it?

He haven't been on here in over a year and his original post was praising a clutch he hadn't installed yet. Might want other opinions before you purchase.

We also can't use single disc like gen2 cars, unfortunately.
