Hey guys, was wondering if anyone here has replaced their clutch master cylinder, and if so, what's the difficulty level? I see that it's mounted to the brake & clutch pedal assembly, but I can't imagine it would be considered easy.

Bought the car in May, and 3 or 4 times since then, usually when I'm inching along in a traffic jam, the total clutch travel will suddenly decrease, and the pedal returns to a lower position than normal when released. I can get under it with the top of my foot and raise it back up where it's supposed to be, and clutch engagement returns to its normal spot.

It's never done it during normal driving. It's never caused a problem with gear engagement, it feels fine, engages at the same point every time, except when there are long periods of when I have it pressed. I think it's bypassing some fluid when I hold it down for long periods of inching along in traffic.

Anyone here done this job? What kind of contortionist nightmare am I facing?
