Got a 2016 Tech Pack GT350. I’ve got a leak from the bell housing I’ve got no clue where it’s from. I’m worried rear main seal but I’m hoping not. It only happens when the car is started and running. I noticed it seemed to get less as the car warmed up as it didn’t leak when I pulled it out of the garage, but did leak when I cold started it all 3 times.

Probably has clutch dust mixed in it... hard to say but more than likely the rear main.

Not good as which ever of the 3 possibilities the trans will need to come out.

check brake fluid levels, could be the slave cylinder too, but less likely since it's black fluid IMO... also probably would notice the clutch pedal feeling off or staying on the floor.... but easy to check level and ensures you won't lose brakes.

I saw your post about the high rpm clutch issues too, so maybe this is the slave? or maybe your fluid leak is causing the other issues i dunno....

I think it’s all about the clutch honestly. I’ll check into all you recommended, thank you

Yeah, a rear main leak can soil the friction surface. It could be misted over enough to grip fine at moderate engine speeds, then slip at high RPM and full power.

Have you ever changed your trans fluid? Too much during refill and it’ll weep out the breather and do exactly this.

Other options are leaking slave or rear main seal. Agree on tasting it. Brake fluid and engine oil have very different tastes

Agree with all the above.
You can also try to smell it... I do that a lot for unknown fluid leaks and it tells a lot.

Clutch slave or rear main. Either way trans has to be dropped. Not the end of the world on the s550 chassis luckily
