Has anyone replaced the spin on filter housing, Hr3z6a832b? It’s no longer available. Will the gt500 kr3z6a832a fit.

Replace why? Those are not known for going bad or having issues. Work good, last long time. Not 100% positive, but they should be exaclty the same. The filter's the same, thus seems logical they're identical.

I think. I overtightened a bit and the threads are plastic. I want a fresh one or aftermarket. Wanted to know anyone’s experience.

GT500 should be the same. MMR makes an aluminum one also. Bit pricey.

Agree the GT500 should be the same but I'd confirm with a dealer. Weird all the usual parts websites indicate it does not fit GT350 but when I ordered one for my 2017 in 2020 what I received was the KR3Z-6A832-A, sure looked exactly the same as my original...

The filters are the same, there's no way the cannister is different.

I'd have to check the part number to confirm, but my most recent oil change I bought a kit online that came with a housing and a 2087 filter (it was the only way I found to get a 2087). It said it was ONLY for the gt500. It was a direct fit onto my block and identical to the (what I can only assume) original filter housing 🤷

One of the members here has a YouTube channel "Enthusiasts Garage" that covers getting the kit with the filter/housing, and has part numbers. That should answer all your Qs. 👍

It possibly/most likely said 500 only due to the timing of the 2087 filter, ‘making that backwards compatible, and all that jazz. That happened in a lot of defense guides during all this filter shuffling about.

Has anyone put an MMR metal housing on? I checked into it and they indicated that their metal housing requires 120ft lbs of torque for proper installation. Any thoughts on that are welcome.
