Good to know man. Are you going to fab some custom mid pipes? Please post up a video and some dyno numbers when you get them. Which tuner are you going with?

I'm going to have them cut the 2.5" step down off and have them go 3" from the headers back, no cats. I currently have an SCT tuner. Hoping I can finish the install by monday and have it on the dyno by mid next week.

BBK does have Ceramic long tube headers

I have BBK LTs on my 89 and the fitment was great and the sound is amazing with Flows (classic combo). They have held up fantastic over the years. They turned blue a little but I am very happy with them.

That's going to be SO loud. Probably sound good tho. Do you not have a catback or axelback?

Got the drivers side in after work today. Putting the passenger side on tomorrow then off to get the midpipe made. No problems on the install, fits perfect. Also waiting for the front O2 sensor extensions to come.

It's the same as the 11-14 5.0 so the extensions that come don't fit the front. Which is no big deal. I ordered them from BBK the other day, hopefully they get here quickly.

no, two small welds around the outside on each tube, fully welded on the inside, both are like that as were may of the ones I've owned in the past.

Did you get them installed completely? How's it sound, if so?

Excellent. Keep us posted.
just installed the passenger side header today. what a pain in the ass! very tight fit. I had to get some help from my girlfriend because my hands were too big to get some of the bolts in. my part is done, now its on the performance shop to fab up and button up the rest. Of course I started it with open headers though it was obnoxiously loud. haha

I ran a set of BBK LT's and their catted mid pipe set up on my 05 GT, I remember I got the ceramic coated set up. Everything was great when I sold the car about three years after I did the install, but a month ago the next owner hit me up (I know him) and he said the exhaust had all rusted out. He said there is over 50 holes in the headers and mid pipe, and they look like rust everywhere. This makes me wonder how they got so bad after only 8 years total on the car? I really liked the set up as well when I had it.
