If anyone has looked at LTH's longtubes, they have what is referred to as their "Titan" finish, which isn't a coating, but rather a sandblasting-type process that uses another media (likely glass beads) to alter the surface. This is supposed to strengthen the surface and reinforce the welds based on how this process works with the metallurgy of the stainless steel.

Has anyone attempted to have this done with any other brand of longtubes? Media blasting companies are somewhat easy to find in a lot of areas.

The only metal blasting which reduces stress is "Shot Peening". Or cryogenic freezing but just sand blasting with glass beads or sand removes rust and preps the metal surface for like painting.

Shot Peening is achieved via media blasting with glass, ceramic, or metal beads.

I personally have not had it done but I do own some of LTH’s headers and the finish is really nice. It’s held up great (granted I don’t drive much) and it’s shown 0 discoloration.
