Went out for a drive earlier today and noticed my voltage was at 15 volts. That's the highest that I've seen in my car. A week ago someone took a look at my battery and said that it was leaking acid. Could these issues be related? Is 15 volts too much? Seems like it should be around 14.2 or so. Any ideas?

NP, also in the owners manual it tells you how to reset battery monitoring. Make sure you do that when you replace the battery. Also, make sure the replacement battery is FULLY charged.

I have a 2023 Mustang GT, California Special. Don't jump buying a new battery yet. My voltage goes to 15.0 at times, but then the next time I check it, it drops to 14.0 to 14.5. And, I have no battery problems.
he said acid was leaking.

Then replace the damn thing.
Agreed, the battery needs to be replaced. But if it’s truly leaking, it shouldn't be a simple swap. Depending on where/how the battery is leaking, there could be imminent or current damage to the battery cables, connectors, battery tray, hold downs, or even sheet metal underneath the battery. He should go in prepared to, at a minimum, clean the area and neutralize any spilled acid. Or possibly even replace damaged parts.
I point out what is probably obvious to many of us simply because it appears that the OP has not even looked for himself nor understands that a leaking, damaged battery should be replaced as quickly as possible.

Mine was doing the same thing. Replaced the battery and had to change out the negative terminal on the cable.

Imo this is normal if the battery is low. It commands max charging. Doesn't always mean its bad, but obviously if it's leaking replace it.

My car does that in the winter because it's driven infrequently.

If you go to a parts place be sure to remove the battery cover and the plastic buttons first if it is not raining. That way nothing gets lost. And be sure the battery is the same size wise or you may have issues closing the hood.
