Battery again?

I've heard a few times that heat kills batteries.

Guessing your car is garage kept and battery tendered, I'm wondering if that's helped the battery last as long as it has.

Might be on to something there. My 2009 mini's battery is still going strong at 12 years old and always garage kept.

I went to get inspected last Friday, but the car went into battery saver mode at the inspection station. I was told I needed a new battery. I forgot to plug in the memory saver to the cigarette lighter as I left it on the passenger seat. I have now spent 7 days waiting for all the monitors to set. It was the original from February 2018. The battery for the Mustang is small compared to my 2003 Marauder and the Mustang has a ton more electric components in it.

For those that have long lasting batteries in their Mustang, what accessories do you have? Navigation, memory seats, etc. Also, have you set up your car to connect to wi-fi?
There's no doubt in my mind the memory seats helped kill my battery early.

Powered drivers seat but if there is a memory function, it's never used as I'm the only driver. Connected to wifi for sync updates. Nothing else I can think of.

Question, what is your Voltage when you let your car sit for a week or two (or longer) and you get in, turn the ignition and what does it show? Mine is on 11.5 all the time. When I drive it goes up to 13-14.

AAA will deliver and install a battery.ive used them sevetal times.been a member forever.

Running voltage is charging Voltage not the battery. It should be very close to 14.2v.
11.5v is concerningly low. I'd check it with a real DVOM and have it load tested.

my battery is 6 months old, i keep it on a tender during the week when its not driven but i just purchased an odyssey 96R and will swap it in for the winter months. i hope i dont need to use the tender with it i never had to with any of my other cars.

Running voltage is charging Voltage not the battery. It should be very close to 14.2v.

Hey, sorry for the confusion. 11.5 is when the car is not running. When driving around it is 13.5.

I just replaced a replaced already OEM battery a few weeks ago, got the 96R AGM.

Mine shows that too, one year old Bosch battery. Seems to start OK every time though.

Mine was not run for about two weeks, battery was down to 12.2 V. After running for about 20 minutes at 14.5 the battery was up to 12.9. I added distilled water to the line about 3 weeks ago.

To charge battery,charging volts should be over 14.what I do os go on highway and run it at 5000 rpm for about 30 monutes.kerps voltage up
