Some say yes and some say no. I did the fan upgrade just to help keep temps down and keep heat under control. Is it the fans that are bigger or the radiator on the PP cars? I always thought it was the radiator.

Are the PP fans (which apparently are bigger) sufficient? Never seen that question answered.

The PP comes with a larger radiator.. About 2 qts bigger I believe. Fan is the same size

The Whipple fans are placed in front and help reduce intercooler Temps. While not needed it a nice upgrade for people who want max performance available in all conditions.

What the HP difference between the basic kit and stage 2 kit on an otherwise stock GT?

Really depends on the dyno but I've personally seen around 80hp difference. Key thing to note on the Stage two is the Throttle body and bigger injectors.

Also, for those that were asking about the strut tower brace, here is a couple pics. I would like to add, removing the brace really is that big of a deal. Getting better front dampers will make more of an impact.

Looks like the "hogged" out all of the material that made it a brace. Now it's just a bezel that would serve no purpose but adding some bling.

And making it a pain in the ass to check the oil. I can't wait to install my whipple so I finally have an excuse to get rid of that brace.

I appreciate everybodys replies. i know that I want a Whipple but I don't know if I need any upgrades in regards to that. I'm question is more of how is everyone doing with there Stage 1 w/ NO UPGRADES and their opinion

Get the throttle body upgrade even if you don't buy the upgrade on the injectors the first go around. But remember you have to pull the head unit to get the passenger side fuel rail out if you ever want to upgrade your injectors. I didn't look far enough down the road my first go round with the Whipple.

Maybe a silly question, but I assume you can run headers with the whipple? i.e. their tune turns of the rear o2's?

And, if one goes for the larger injectors up front and then decides to do the throttle body at some future point, is tune update required when the throttle body is added?

Pretty much, I'm sure there might be a company that can offer a Strut tower brace that clears both the TVS, KB and Whipple head units.

I would, at the very minimum go with the Throttle Body upgrade. Even with the stage 1 and TB upgrade we made right around 650RWHP but I'd get the extra injector as a safety precaution.

Give us a shout if you have any questions.

I would get the injector upgrade at a minimum since that will definitely be a restriction for you and the part/labor cost to do it initially will be a lot less than if you did it down the road. The Whipple tune does NOT turn off the rear o2's, HOWEVER (and Whipple confirmed this) you can just install some o2 foulers.
