Is this the car that has equal length headers?
Yes, based on my understanding this is that vehicle.

I also understand that the equal length headers that Jamal Hameedi originally had installed were removed prior to Ford releasing HR001 to Manheim for auction in early 2018.

I am the guy getting the grabber blue GT350R. This will be my first R, I've had a couple base GT350s including a 1 of 1 2015.

I think I called within a couple hours of them putting it on Auto Trader, I just happened to have been refreshing the app right after they listed it. I have been passively looking out for a grabber blue GT350R for what feels like a few years. I was actually shopping for a base R, and I absolutely jumped on it when I saw it was a base & my #1 color choice. The lemon buyback didn't bother me - motor was replaced for the well known oil issues with the gen 1 motors. It's still eligible for a Ford premium care warranty too!

Damn you moved fast! Great color and as Harry stated a very rare combo. Enjoy it

Congratulations on securing an outstanding 2017 Base R model and in a great color/stripe combination.

I asked the selling dealership about whether or not the 2017 GT350R Owners Kit came with the car and they had no idea what I was talking about therefore wondering if someone from the dealership included it in the sale of your new ride?

Not sure if you are aware of it but the 2017 GT350R model year is the last model year whereby an enthusiast could determine a 2-seat R model from a 4-seat Base 350 model by just looking at the VIN but that all changed with the 2018 MY.

Lastly, nice to see you also owned a 2015 GT350 and wondering what the chassis number was?

That is the 1FAT vs 1FA6 correct? Always thought it was funny the Rs were FAT.

No owner supplement with it unfortunately.

I don't remember the chassis number of the 2015 I owned, but I still have pictures of the window sticker and VIN. I bought it new and owned it about a year and a few thousand miles. It was the only white car with black painted roof and no stripes for 2015. Base with tech pack.

Yes, once the 2018 GT350/R MY arrived the 1FAT in the VIN unfortunately went away for the 2-seat cars.

If you have the WS and VIN for your 2015 GT350 then the chassis number is very easy to determine as the 2015 MY was the only model year whereby the last 3 numbers of the VIN were identical to your chassis number.

That was also the case for the 2015 Mustang GT 50th Anniversary models which encompassed 1964 examples.

I owned a couple of 2015 GT350 units with the VIN ending in 077 and 080 thus my chassis numbers were F0077 and F0080 therefore whatever the last 3 numbers of your VIN was, that will determine the chassis number for your vehicle namely "FXXXX".

Another interesting fact about the 2015 GT350/R models was that an OEM car cover was included as standard equipment for each of the 137 regular production vehicles but of course that changed for the following 5 model years.

Lastly, the 2015 GT350/R models were the only production year whereby the chassis number for the 2-seat R models did not include an "R" in build sequence.

Mark, just to let you and the rest of our members know, this 2017 Shelby GT350R Base model sold within 24 hours of hitting the showroom floor at Heller Chevrolet in El Paso, Ilinois.

Based on my conversation the salesperson confirmed that this vehicle sold for the full advertised amount of $69,962 therefore how good is that!
Harry any chance you got that Chassis # while you were at it?

Tony, I asked for the chassis number from the selling dealership but the individual I spoke with did not have it as the car was already on its way to Texas.

I think it's HR441 based on the pics I was sent, it was slightly hard to read. I can post back for sure when I receive it.
TK, based on my research you have very good eyes therefore chassis number HR441 it is.

Has anyone added a backup camera to their car? Looking for something that isn't invasive or requires installing a head unit. I've found a couple wireless options but curious if anyone has any recommendations.

I did. Wolfbox 900 Pro. Routed the wire through trunk and out license plate light cover, and put camera next to the license plate light. This isn't the car, but these are the locations. Not too invasive and I really like the results. Screen clips to your rear view camera. Cheap, simple, effective.

Avalanche grey 2016 GR095 is for sale by LRA auto sales. They don’t have it on auto trader or many websites at all. I was looking at it before the GB came up for sale.
