Thanks for posting and a pretty cool car at least IMO.

Great iconic colors, very low mileage, terrific provenance and extremely low production numbers.

For anyone interested in 1 of 135 Base R models built over 4 model years this is a terrific opportunity to own one of these very cool and elusive cars.

I have come to learn that the CF wheels are not serialized to the car. In other words, if you can pick up a set of used CF wheels (I've seen a set sell for 8K), and you want that base R, I'd get it. The wheels have an RFID embedded in them and have a serial number, but they are not associated with the manufacture of the car.

That thing has been heavily tracked from the day it was bought by John Strauss.

I would come in real low on that one. On top of a set of CF wheels, it probably would need an engine refresh.

I would approach it at fair market value minus about $20K

Totally understood but for me if I could obtain another quality Base R I would do that in a heart beat.

I really wanted one but living in SW Florida, I could not do it, I had to have the AC. So I bought a 2017 with 31 miles on it, just went over 600, cant wait to rev it up when I get over the 1000 mile mark.
