I originally was going with the base model - and price was the whole reason. My wife then told me "If you are going to have a midlife crisis, just do it right" so, i went with a 50th appearance premium. 
To comment on the base model - the car, in and of itself, is a car to be driven. it is to get people to turn their heads. base or premium does not change that.
I like the extras that come with the premium, some novelty may or may not wear off on me, novelty tends to stick around longer with me, for some reason...
You will most likely be just as happy with a base model, as there are plenty of buttons to push and play with, plus, you have just as much HP as a premium performance package LE model does.

. I even ordered the base EB fastback. Later, when I visited another dealer & test drove the EB Premium, I fell in love with the interior & other features. I did my research and was confused whether I should go with the EB or EB Premium. The cost difference for me was somewhere around $3k. The main points in consideration were -
