I am getting closer to considering a GT. The base model is really my only option because of the price difference I am seeing. I have the auto Eco Premium. I think I will not miss too many of the premium features except I like the remote start, keyless entry and power seats. Are these standard on the Base auto GT. Also, in general how well does the traction control work. Honestly I'm not too worried about myself but my wife does drive sometimes and don't want this to spit her into a guardrail while pulling out and trying to beat traffic. But can I turn off to have fun a little if wanted.

I think remote start and keyless is standard on all auto GT. Powered seats are only premium package.
The nannies are quite good on the GT. No worries at all.

Remote start is standard I believe on all autos. Power seats you get height and front/back adjustment, lumbar, but not the recline which is a lever.

The traction control...with me not touching anything on the factory all season tires, I feel like it doesn't intervene unless the wheel spin persists for a while. I fish tail quite a bit if it's colder out and it takes a few seconds for the light to flash when it kicks on after 4000 RPM which is when the fishtailing happens.

I kind of wish it would come on a little earlier to fight the fish tailing but that's probably more blame on the tires than the traction control. Also I have the 6MT so I'm not sure if there's a difference between that and how the auto behaves as far as traction control, I assume it's the same.

Thanks, I've had a G35 which had very invasive traction control to the point you would worry of someone hitting you for going too slow now. Also the G35 and other cars I've had, even if they spin a bit it was always just the inside wheel and really no issue with spinning out even if I wanted too. I haven't had any issues at all with the Eco but then again it is a eco. When doing a 0-60 run I do get some spin and was surprised and maybe a little concerned that I never noticed the traction control kick in.

Remote start, keyless entry and power seats are standard on the bast GT.

The traction control is pretty good, but it has kicked out a bit more than expected a few times. Once on the hwy in the rain and on a u-turn. Nothing bad happened, but took a little longer to kick in than expected. This is with the automatic.

Remote start is not. The Smart key system is standard however. The power seats are except for the recline.

I haven't had issues with my traction control honestly, 6-spd. I don't drive hard enough for it to need to kick in though.
Mine is a DD and I drive it roughly 80 miles a day

it was standard for the bast GT in 2016. They may have changed it but it was standard when I ordered mine.

Remote start is Automatic Trans only, and on the Base GT.

Thanks for the input on the remote start. I certainly did like that feature in the winter months.

For 2016 at least remote start, line lock, power SEAT (only drivers) are standard on the auto.

Traction control does let you spin the tires a bit like most modern muscle cars, agree should probably come on sooner since it is defeatable.
