ISSUE RESOLVED PLEASE SEE THE MESSAGE BELOW!
Hi all,
Ordered sf4/x4 tuner with 2 custom tunes from Bama for my 2016 Mustang GT Manual- 3.31, through Americanmuscle. I requested 91 performance and 91 race tune. Car has Roush CAI and Roush catback.
As advised I made sure I uploaded the update before connecting the tuner to my car.
I tried loading both tunes and the car does not idle properly in any of them. Engine rpms go to 200-300 and the engine dies if I don't hold my foot on the gas.
Obviously this is a "too rich AFR" problem. I started looking at the Air-fuel ratio; the AFRs' are 8 when idling and 10 max when driving. Car stalls, bogs and all other drivability issues.
To be safe I took out MAF, cleaned it, uploaded the tunes back in. No luck.
Returned to the stock tune, it's back to normal.
So, what part of a Bama tune is "custom" if it does not even holds the AFRs at idle? I'm even curious about the ignition timing and other specs.
Anybody had similar issues with BAMA? Do I need to do KAM Reset and/or Crank Relearn?
