What is the race tune? AFAIK the stock injectors on our vehicles are already at their upper limits on a regular E85 tune.

The “race tune” is an e85 specific tune. It brings the timing in more aggressively than the flex tune does.
There may be other subtleties to it, but the timing is the obvious one, both from the logs and also the seat of the pants.

I have reflashed my 15 a dozen or more times and my 18 5 or 6 times so far and the only time I needed to do a crank relearn was when I replaced the flywheel with my clutch on the 15. Not sure why anyone is saying it is necessary to do unless you have done motor, clutch, or trans work that moves the crank or cam trigger or sensors.
Same. The only time I ever had to do a crank relearn was when flashing back to stock.
Literally flashed from flex to race more times than I can count.

Should not have to do crank relearn (as stated) with tuning. Lol.

Well there's definitely an issue with the tune. I still get P0316 and P0300 codes thrown every 2 days on cold starts, I have of course been working with Lund but this isnt looking good. A brand new car with sub 4000 miles and a clean bill of health from the dealer(I brought it in for normal maintenance) should NOT be having issues like this, the tuner agrees as well. Now I'm kinda screwed, because if I bring it to the dealer won't they know it's been tuned, even if I put it back to stock?

You getting those codes on stock tune? What is your build/blend date on car? I remember hearing someone on here had an early car that had pre production strategy code that SCT had to sort out.

No, but I did get it on the Race and now Flex tune. Car has a manufacture date of 3/18

I think that was a straight up no start and run issue, not misfire. If it goes away when flashed to stock then it has to be the tune. If not, then leave the stock tune in it and take it to the dealer. Don't over think them being able to see that the ecu was flashed. They will most likely still take care of what ever is wrong regardless unless it is obviously melted down from severe detonation or something like that.

And now my engine just started surging at idle in traffic. I'm pulling the tune off, something has to be wrong with my engine

If it runs fine on stock tune (as mentioned) it is the tune. Try that first...

Hopefully it is something simple as tune revision. Surging idle does not mean automatic engine problems/damage. But, getting it back to stock tune at least starts to narrow down potential causes. Good luck Man.
